Eightbit Swivel Car Rolling Ride On Car- Indoor/Outdoor

Steering Wheel came off after 1 month of light use by a 2 and 4 years old. Might be a design flaw or perhaps I got a defect. The rest of the product seems put together well. The wheels look like decent quality urethane or similar. I'm really bummed that the steering wheel is loose now, and it can't really be re-tightened any more.***Update***Even though it was outside the return window, the vendor sent me an email offering to repair or replace the Swivel Car after reading my original review. This was unsolicited and was a good faith effort on their part. They ended up sending a whole new car, even though only the steering wheel and bolts needed to be replaced. This is why I'm upgrading my review from two to five stars.

I bought two swivel cars from Amazon- one that was the EIGHTBIT brand and the other was the PlasmaCar brand. The EIGHTBIT brand was far better than the other one. The biggest difference is that the wheels on a PlasmaCar are not the soft poly wheels- they are a hard black hollow plastic that you see on little tikes cars. Those wheels will not last as long as the wheels on the EIGHTBIT.The EIGHTBIT rolls so smoothly that I have no problem letting my son roll all over the house on the laminate floors. As he glides around the house, it makes no noise, and it cannot scratch up the floors at all. If you are choosing between different brands of swivel cars, this is definitely the one to choose.

We got this for our two year-old's birthday knowing it would be big for her but thought she'd enjoy just scooting around on it until she's big enough to actually "operate" it. What we didn't anticipate was how much our older kids (ages 7, 9, and 11) would love it! It's very easy to operate by swiveling the steering wheel backwards and forwards--only the (barely) two year-old hasn't mastered that. But the older kids can get going pretty fast and we love how the car can turn on a dime. Even my husband and I get on it and spin around the house from time to time--it's hilarious.The car rides VERY smoothly and quietly on our hardwood and tile floors. We used to have one of these cars years ago (a different brand) and the plastic wheels made a lot more noise than these wheels so that was a very pleasant surprise. As far as the incredibly smooth ride is concerned, I'm sure once we take the car outside when the weather warms that the ride won't be as smooth and as fast on concrete but I'm confident it will still be an outside toy favorite.

We bought these for Christmas last year. They are still a hit to this day! Our two children as well as neighbor kids ride them in and out of the house. We have tile in the common areas of the house and the children zoom around. A wheel pops off of one of them but is fixable each time. This only happened because they were riding it down our driveway and trying to spin around on it. We bought these when they were on sale and cheaper than the plasma cars. One of them was cracked when we took it out of the package Christmas Eve but we decided to give it to our child anyway and not return it. Definitely a hit!

my son absolutely LOVES this! My husband rode it and it loosened up the steering wheel so you have to be careful about how much weight you put on it, but we tightened it back up and its fine. Its sturdy and can handle getting tossed around without being damaged. The best part is that my one year old scoots around on it, my three year old can almost swivel it to go and my nephew is 11 and still loves it too.

Of all the gifts I've ever purchased my girls, this is without a doubt the absolute best money I've ever spent. There is no way for me to even guess the hours they have already spent riding this awesome little toy. They were such a hit that I had to order 2 additional ones for my God Sons after they fell in love with them during a visit. I love that I was able to purchase different colors to match each child's preference (light blue and pink for my girls, green and red for the boys). It is also important to note that they all range in age of an almost 3 year old to a 10 year old, and they all enjoyed them just the same. I'm also not one bit embarrassed to admit that the boys mother and myself also had an opportunity to take part in the fun as they will hold up to 220 pounds! We've even joked that we may order us one in our favorite colors so we can play too. ;)I will have to admit that prior to me purchasing these specific swivel cars, I ordered a less expensive brand. The old saying is true.... you do get what you pay for. Although they looked exactly the same, they were not. The two most obvious things were that the other ones would only hold up to 88 pounds (which means I couldn't ride, lol), and the wheels on the other ride on toy were just cheap plastic, unlike the rubber ones on the Swivel Car. I quickly realized that the lack of quality wasn't something I was willing to compromise on.Do be aware that the cars must be ridden on a smooth, flat surface, otherwise you will have a very disappointed child. Now, I must wrap up here because the kids are at school and I can go have fun without them screaming for me to stop riding their cars!

I bought several of these for our kids (4 & 7yrs) and their friends to play with and they love zooming around the backyard on them. We have also discovered that they easily hold adults and so we have just as much fun once we've managed to get them off theirs - plus it's a good workout for your arms as well!Very easy to get going once you start swiveling and the roller blade wheels are very smooth and don't lose speed.Assembly is very simply although be careful when pushing in the back wheels at the angle as the black teeth could snap.

I cannot say enough good things about these cars!!! We ordered 3 of them for our triplets and they have become so amazingly adept at handling them (and they aren't even 2 yet)! And my husband and I have even enjoyed racing them around our kitchen table. :) They are so much fun and everyone asks where we got them. When we go out, other kids always want to ride them. They are super popular and so much fun for all ages. We take the kids to the bike path and they speed off on them. We also use them indoors on rainy days and they help the kids get some exercise.
