Honeywell Turboforce Fan, Ht-900, 11 inch

I rarely write reviews and almost never rate anything 5 stars. However, with the heat wave plaguing the northeast, I thought it’d be helpful to share my impressions of this fan. Bear in mind, I only received it yesterday. It has been 100 degrees F in New England the past few days. My husband and I are in our mid to late 60s, and we both have some health issues. We have window air conditioners, but we recently moved and have been having difficulty getting the units up a full flight of stairs in our townhouse. I decided we needed to add another fan to our collection as some of our others are still packed. I didn’t want to spend a lot of money since the fans still packed are of good quality and were expensive to purchase. Enter this little Honeywell fan. When I first opened the box, I confess to having been a little underwhelmed even though I reviewed all the specs prior to purchase. However, needs must, and I immediately unpacked the fan and set it up. It immediately started making a difference in our comfort. Important to note: it’s 10”, and that makes for a small fan. It’s completely plastic for those for whom it’d be a negative. The highest speed is more like a medium setting in a larger fan. However, because of its engineering, it works great when aimed at one’s body. I suppose it’d work to make a small room cooler, but, in my view, it’s best use is as a personal fan. It’s quiet even at the highest speed. I’m not experiencing any rattling either. For $17, it’s quite high quality and worth every penny.

Writing this as I’m sitting literally right in front of it, lol.The fan came in SO quickly (ordered it Saturday and it’s now Monday, unpacked).I bought this due to multiple reasons:1) my bf cannot tolerate the heat well unlike me, so I’ll have this blowing in front of him the next time he’s over2) I dislike using the A/C unit in my apartment - fan or using the actual A/C system - because the air flow doesn’t circulate well at all. So I thought this would help circulate the air as backup.3) My electricity bills are gonna be mad high this summer season due to the A/C unit use frequency, so the mini fan will be my bff.4) I wasn’t gonna comment on this, since I didn’t care much for it, but since I’m sitting right in front of it: even at Level 3, the fan is pretty quiet and I like it a lot.5) I like how it’s small enough that I can just aim it at me directly on my art table (and by my bed).I’m quite pleased with this purchase!

Why did you pick this product vs others?:I bought this product because I know of Honeywell. It is a nice, quiet fan with good circulation of air. It is hard to find a fan that you just plug into the wall! The one thing about technology I do not like is that it's forcing you to use UCB ports or the charge a battery. This is a good product, It's well built. I prefer metal yet everything has become plastic these days. So I'm a happy camper
