Perfect for vintage Dazor Floating Lamps!!
Bought these for three old magnetic ballast florescent Dazor Floating Lamps. They work great, no gutring and rewiring, and they're probably about twice as bright. The 4100k color temp is also super close to the old GE florescent Daylight color.

Good for replacing fluorescent lights
I used these to replace some old fluorescent lights in a medicine cabinet. I also hooked up a dimmer switch and it works with them. Now my bathroom no longer looks like a storefront display and is dimmer. Minus the extra shipping cost this is a great product.

Finally! - A Decent 18" LED Fluorescent Bulb Replacement
I have two 18" fluorescent under-cabinet light fixtures that I've been hunting for "cool" operating LED replacements for so that I don't "cook" the contents of the cabinet above (dog food, canned goods, etc.), and it has been a real challenge to find until now! The big-three bulb manufacturers don't have them yet (as far as I can see), and maybe there's a reason why. The LED replacement fit perfectly (actually better than the fixtures factory bulb), came on instantly, does not "flutter" and seems just a little warm to the touch, which is acceptable. Downsides - $16.00 is a bit steep for one bulb, but I'm sure that'll come down eventually; the bulb is VERY bright white light, which is good if that's what you're after, but much brighter than the 40-watt fluorescent equivalent; I wish it was UL listed, and then I'd feel much more comfortable about leaving the bulb on when I leave home. Otherwise it's great!!!

Dazor drafting lamp? This is the LED tube you want.
I have five Dazor drafting/desk lamps in my business. Four of the lamps date to the 1950s and 60s and one was made in the 1980s. They all operate just fine with this LED tube without making any modifications to the Dazors. Just plug and play. With fluorescent tubes in a Dazor, you have to hold the start button down for a few seconds to fire the fluorescent, but with these LED tubes, briefly press the start button to instantly light the lamp. The Dazors will run properly with either one or two tubes installed -- you don't need to use two if you don't need extra-bright task lighting. Or you can use one LED and one fluorescent if that makes sense to you. My husband uses one tube for general lighting at his office desk and likes that very well. I use two in the Dazors at my work station where I need bright task lighting for the hand work I do.I got the Daylight type because it seems the most natural to my eyes. Initially, these LED lights are very bright -- almost blindingly bright. I expect them to become somewhat less intense as time goes on, similar to my experience with other LED bulbs. That said, I expect the LED tubes to stay brighter overall than fluorescent tubes. These lamps are all plastic so there's no glass to break, but the ends are about as fragile as the ends on fluorescent tubes. Don't install these tubes when you're feeling impatient or rushed because it can be kind of a fiddly task. Ensure all four pins are properly inside the sockets before trying to rotate the tube to lock it in place. If you try to rotate the tube when the pins are out of place, you'll crack the end. That didn't happen to me, but I could see how it could if someone got impatient and tried to force the issue.

works exactly as it should
i bought this LED lamp to replace the burnt out fluorescent tube under-cabinet task lighting in my 1950s kitchen.the lamp is great, easy to install, works right, 100-percent recommend.the fixture design and placement leave a bit to be desired. oh well.

Very bright, easy to install, but ... we'll see. ADDENDUM: Now I see: don't buy it.
I've converted many of my 48" fluorescent shop lights to LED fixtures, removing ballasts and rewiring. But I bought this shorter tube for my range hood, which I wasn't really interested in re-engineering. This LED tube clicked right in and (as other reviews have said) puts out about 20% more light than its fluorescent predecessor. I think this is a most welcome upgrade -- more light on the stove is very helpful. However, as other reviews have said, the packaging was careless: with no padding, the tube rattled around in its shipping box, which arrived with a large rip in the side. Given that no one can seem to find any promise of a warranty on this tube, it does not inspire confidence in the seller / manufacturer that they ship the product so carelessly. The test, of course, will be to see how long it lasts and if it proves to be worth the higher price. Five stars for the product, but deducting one star for shipping and no-warranty.AFTER THREE MONTHS OF GOOD SERVICE, the light suddenly ceased to light. After troubleshooting the switch and replacing the starter, I began to remove this tube to check out its connection -- and it immediately turned on. Ah, maybe the pins were not seated in the tombstone sockets? I twisted the tube to remove it and saw what this photo shows: the end of the tube was seriously cracked -- so much so that one of the pins simply fell back inside the fixture. Game over, I guess. Plus, the pin array on the other end then came loose. I wonder if the glue used on this light fixture is the weak link? Or the plastic, which seems none-too-beefy? In any case, I'm dropping this to one star. If NYLL contacts me to replace the unit, I'll raise my score, but I'm not holding my breath.

Plug and Play, indeed
I needed to replace a dim fluorescent tube over our range with an LED one. Among what's available out there most require rewiring, which I didn't want to do. This particular LED tube fit the bill perfectly! It's indeed plug and play... remove the old one, insert the new one, rotate until it clicks in place and turn on the switch. That's it! It's brighter than the one it replaced... I wish it was a tad bit more brighter. Highly recommended!
