Super Simple Plan - Lots of Food!
I devoured this book as soon as it arrived! Always one to blame a “slow metabolism” for my challenges in maintaining a good weight for myself. What I LOVED about this book is that it didn’t lull me to sleep with a lot of scientific mumbo jumbo that made me wish I had paid more attention in biology class - instead, Zinczenko breaks down the challenges that have helped contribute to our slower metabolisms and no surprise - they are what you might expect, aging, stress, declining sleep - and while they may seem obvious, they are stark reminders of problems we have brought upon our selves and more importantly, they are easy to address.Zinczenko goes on to lay out a very easy prescription to fix our underperforming metabolisms — Super Proteins, Super Carbs (Yes, CARBS), and Super Fats — proving lists of all the foods that fit into these super groups. The best part, they are all foods that are readily available and hardly exotic, with the exception of some of the super carbs which feature tings like Teff. The program is well laid out and seems easy enough to follow along — I’’m stocking my shopping cart this weekend with the super food groups and getting started on Monday - all the recipes provided have me salivating at filling my day with delicious foods while firing up my metabolism!

buy this book if you are looking to get educated not just recipes!
The Super Metabolism Diet book is the best book about human physiology I have ever read! I love the style of his writing, it keeps you interested and unable to put the book down. I am a big fan of the Eat This Not That books and website that I knew there would be a lot of education in this book. If you want to learn about how your inner body works and processes fats, carbs, etc then you have found the right book. It isn't just recipes and a list of what to and what not to eat. I truly am getting an understanding of how our insides work which will helps me greatly understand WHY you should eat and not eat certain foods.

Mixed Review
I found the information was clear and scientifically based. I learned about new foods, which will be great to try and hopefully like. I have tried mixing soaked chia seeds in with a superfood grain and chicken and can not be more amazed that I did not have my normal chocolate craving! What I did not like about the book was what was missing. I would have been more pleased if Chapter 11 (workouts) had been eliminated and more recipes added. I found what few recipes were added were limited and too few in number. I also found that as a resource book it is lacking in depth, having only 2 pages of good foods. I wanted to see if other foods were a good choice and they are not even listed in the index (olives, squash, cheeses....). I need a more comprehensive list of foods and suggestions on how to mix and match, and meal plans until I can figure this all out.I love this way of adding new superfoods to my diet. I love all the spices listed, and need to reintroduce them into my recipes. I consider this book expensive since additional books will need to be obtained so that I have a better understanding on how to implement this way of eating better.

I wish I can say I read it but I didn't. It's still on the coffee table. No good doing that is it.

like how MUCH to eat and exactly What to eat
Lot of stuff in this book is just talk. Couldn't get any specifics out of the book, like how MUCH to eat and exactly What to eat. Some parts of the book would say to eat something while other parts would say not to eat it, very conflicting. Not worth the money. Followed the diet, but lost absolutely nothing in the 2 weeks on the diet!!!

Very confusing mumbo jumbo book
This Book is confusing and it says the same thing over and over. Eat breakfast everyday, need to have super protein & super carbs with every meal. Well oatmeal is a breakfast option, but guess what? Oatmeal has not super protein, so if I eat oatmeal, chia seeds and a banana for breakfast, I am eating 2 super carbs and 1 super fat, if that is the case how does this diet work? Then later is says to confine most of my super carbs to the evening, if this is so why is it a breakfast item? Not sure this will work too. I guess this will just be another cookbook. I love how it references, more than once "If you are 120 lbs" who needs this book if you weigh 120 lbs?

Fantastic book, easy (and fun!) to read!
This is a GREAT book! It is fun and easy to read, the Author's personality shines clearly through this book, and it is chock-full of excellent information that he has gathered and put to use over the years. GET this book! I originally read it at my local library, but purchased this book so I could keep it at home. REALLY helpful ideas, recipes, and content.
