These peppers are nice, soft and pliable. The flavor is great; I use mine for tortilla soup (Rick Bayless) and the flavor is noticeably deeper and richer than brands I've seen at the store.The bag is also high quality and seals well. I store mine next to the cheerios in the pantry with nary a complaint from the cereal eaters.

Excellent age and quality. No foreign matter. The skin was leathery and supple. Not too dry or abused. The peppers themselves went into chili that was smoky, rich, flavorful. I am storing them in vacuum sealed bags in the pantry, and I expect they will stay in excellent shape for a while. Great product.

We use these for making Basque Chorizo. They are mild, but have good flavor.

These were soft and had a nice raisin like odor.

The quality of these is really excellent. These are not the super dessicated chiles that you often find at the supermarket. These are whole and dried but somehow still a bit moist. Rich smokey flavor and not very spicy. The packaging is also good. It's a sturdy resealable plastic bag, which you will need--this is a lot of chiles.

This is the second pound of Pasilla chiles ive ordered. The first time I got the brand Mi Costenita with the yellow label. This brand is far cleaner and MUCH fresher. The aroma and flavor is better. They are dried but still pliable, and clean. Go for these!
