Great price for a GPS. Written instructions were not very detailed. Overall, easy to program. Works great so far.

Had as much as a desk top, didn’t need that and too bulky

The unit comes with an adapter to operate from the 12v outlet in your vehicle. It also comes with a cable w/USB plugs to connect a computer or other device providing a 12v output. However, the cable is too short. Furthermore, the GPS unit did not charge or operate as well from the computer. It took a while to be able to get enough power to be able to use and program the unit. The manufacturer took a cheap route here. They should have included an adapter for house current. This would have been worth the price and easier to program the system rather than running the vehicle. There were no directions for using the dashboard mount and the sun hood which surrounds the screen. I was able to set up both. The touch screen was good and you could hear the “clicks” as you made each menu selection.The instruction manual is difficult to read because of very small fonts and photos of the displays to set up any program. It is completely necessary to set up the Navigational Path Setting before selecting Navigation mode from the main menu. Otherwise you will not be able to use the system. This is a major failure of inadequate instructions. Using my computer, it took a long time to charge the GPS and use it to set up a map.There should have been more written detail in using the manual or better yet, a better flow chart on how to work the unit successfully and make corrections. I’m experienced with computers and learned access to the various settings and features. But using this unit could be a nightmare with its limited instructions.I bought this GPS before my trip between the NY and Baltimore metropolitan areas, over 400 miles round trip. I set up several tracks following different routes. The map I followed worked well. It gave a detailed itinerary with only a few selected points along the interstates to each destination. The system has flags which allow you to highlight specific points or change direction along the track. These are valuable in adding detail to the track. Voice directions were clear. This function also reacts when you’re off course and verbalizes “ground changes” to find an alternative route to your destination.
