Flyberry Deglet Nour Dates - 200Grams

Cant believe the dates with larvae.

After trying dates of various other brands, I probably have zeroed on to the variety I love - Deglet Nour of Flyberry. These are small in size, neither too soft nor too sweet, giving a caramel sort of lovely taste. I am a repeat buyer of these dates. However, while in the past these were supplied in good plastic containers, last two supplies were in hard cardboard boxes. They must revert to plastic containers to enable prompt storage in the refrigerator ( door).

1) The dates actually are placed 'directly' in the cardboard box instead of any kind of insulated packaging or a container or sheet separating it from the cardboard box. Even the ones we get locally are packed in a resealable laminated package and for a much more competitive price. Due to the lack of decent inner packaging, I ended up spending more time looking for worms/larvae etc. than eating them.2) The flavour is passable and quite mild, possibly due to bad storage conditions/processing. At any rate, it is hardly memorable.3) The cardboard box had a strong reprocessed smell which were mildly passed on to the dates - but not enough to smell completely disgusting.4) Some of them were crushed and some are too soft, but that's probably going to happen with any kind of packaging. They were also a bit dry which generally doesn't happen in a resealable package.Considering the above issues, I decided to move these dates to a separate resealable package instead of bundling them with the others I have.On the whole, I would rather get locally available ones which are packed better, are of a better quality, present a better flavour and are still competitively priced.Note: Purchased this in a lightning deal from Flyberry Gourmet.I'd rate it as follows:Packaging: 1 on 5Taste/Flavour: 3 on 5Quality: 3 on 5Price: 2 on 5Overall Opinion: 2 on 5 (mainly due to the packaging)

Description does not mention if it is seedless or with seeds - assumed as seedless and it turns out to be with seeds. Supplier needs to be advised to mention this aspect. Taste is different from other imported dates - both seedless & with seeds - acceptable taste, soft and with smaller size seeds. That makes the edible volume / weight better.

The product is genuinely good. I would definitely order it again . I am a gym personal trainer and i use them daily .the color and the sweetness fits perfectly .Would recommend it to every body ,if you looking for genuine dates .

Have ordered earlier 2 times but this time my daughter had stomach upset after eating it and we had to take her to hospital..pathetic experience

I am blessed with a bad sweet tooth and am always looking out for healthy but tasty options to satiate the same. These flyberry dates did exactly the same. It is extremely tasty and flavourful. And I can continue to hog on them as they are sugar free. The slight tinge of honey was the magic for me and I usually like having a couple of pcs post my dinner!
