Great adapter especially when I already had a Usb C to Usb C cord and (didnt have to buy No bring another Usb C to Lightening cord) really does support Fast Charging to iPhone X, 8, and above. Aluminum build is definitely a plus. Not a lot of these adapters on Amazon anymore so I'm glad the one available is of great quality.

While traveling I realized I'd only packed my MacBook Air USB-C cable so came to Amazon to order a lightning cable for my iPhone X Max, while searching I came across this adapter, which seemed like the perfect temp solution. I was initially impressed with it as it seemed to be a quality item and when I plugged it in it immediately began charging my nearly dead phone at approx 1% per minute, which was great! The disappointment came when the first time I unplugged it the gray outer sleeve pulled off the adapter. I can't decide if it's meant to do that (so one can attach the leash that's included) since there really wouldn't be a secure way to attach it if it didn't, but at the same time there's glue residue left behind as if it's not meant to. I posted this question for the seller but got no response so opted for an exchange in case it isn't. Still a 4 star item for me as it fast charges and turned out not to be a temp solution but a permanent one as I love not having to carry two cables!! And honestly, it's very reasonably priced for what it is!4/14/19 -Editing review to add a link for a leash I've since found (and recommend) for it.
