This product is exactly as advertised. It works well, detects motion, and is LOUD. Contrary to other reviews, the instructions are adequate if you're used to reading written instructions for technical products.I purchased to scare away cats from jumping and peeing on a sofa. It's loud, but still does not faze them. They LOOK at it, but do not run away.However, it helps because it alerts ME to a cat on the couch, so I run them off myself after the alarm goes off.I'm satisfied with my purchase and would buy again for a similar application.

Great little gadget. I like that it has multiple sounds and you can adjust the volume. For the people who commented on the sounds that are child-like, I think its a good option. If you have children, a loud alarm may scare them. My daughter is a college student and said her dorm alarm sounds like the alarm in the movie "The Purge" and it freaked out the students. This alarm has sounds that beep or sound once which I like. My mother lives in a home with other eldery people and the staff wanted something to alert them if someone walked in her room. You can also chose a sounds that continues to sound. The set up was very easy. It's small which is also good because its not noticeable.

I bought this in December 2019. The remote is a nice feature but from the beginning the only functions that work are the volume buttons. The other buttons are just decorative for me. Not a deal breaker but woulda been nice if it worked as it should.My main issue is after about 9 or 10 months the volume on the alarm is less than half of what it originally was. When I first got it it was LOUD. I mean LOUD. Which is what I wanted. I put it in my shed outside after it got broken into and I could hear it sound from inside my house. Now I can barely hear it standing 20 feet away. It has just lost lost of its ability to "alarm" me that someone's in my shed.Pros: easy to install, initially works as intendedCons: my remote never worked right, lost most of its sound after a few months

Works great but the customer service is awful. The remote died after about 6 week called the manufacturer and left a message with customer serice, explained the issue and requested a call back. I just wanted another remote and would have gladly paid for it. Never got a return call ... so much for 24 - 7 customer service.

We use it to know if our autistic son gets out of bed in the middle of the night if he needs bathroom.. we set the chime to something pleasant and volume low. We showed him so he is not frightened.. when he gets out of bed and gets to his bedroom door,, the sensor picks him up and wakes us to help him.. better than any baby monitor for this purpose. Easy to set up, change volumes and chimes. Works perfectly just sitting on a table facing his doorway. Disarm all day,, armed once we put him to bed. Highly recommended to parents if child gets up quietly at night and wanders the house.

The sensor range and angle seems about as described, making each fairly easy to place to adequately cover a normal room. The USB cable they come with is short but that's easily replaced if need be, the supplied one worked fine as-is for my layout. Although they detect adequately, they also seem clever enough to avoid false alarms if, say, the forced-air heating turns on, in my testing so far they have done just fine. As a cheap way to get early warning of intruders I am pleased with them. I run them from USB chargers instead of using batteries, hearing it promptly silenced is even more useful an early warning.The instructions are laughably confusing. They may have all sorts of functions, I can't quite tell. What I managed to piece together is that, from power-on, holding down the two side buttons on the detector until it beeps puts it into a usefully loud and persistent mode then a push of the left arrow switches it to a siren sound. Then the bottom lock button arms it (a few beeps to give you time to move away) or disarms it.

Works as advertised I bought these to use as motion detection for my paranormal investigations.
