Pureology Pure Volume Shampoo, 33.8 Fl Oz

This is my favorite volume-building shampoo. It is expensive but truly makes the most of the hair I have; without it I would be in wigs. No other shampoo that I have tried can compare and at my age, I have tried many. The catch is, I have to order this product as it is no longer available in most stores. I have ordered it many times. With THIS supplier, the product was wrapped appropriately, safely. When I ordered from Target, one of the bottles opened and shampoo coated the inside of the box. I was desperate. I ordered it from another supplier and the identifying numbers were scratched off the bottle, the shampoo had been diluted, was not authentic. I threw that one out. But this shampoo is worth ordering again, and when I requested it from this supplier, not only was it authentic, the delivery was safe and expedient. This is absolutely the best supplier I have found for my shampoo.

I have been using this shampoo for several years and LOVE IT. I bought this not knowing the formula had changed however (even the picture of the product was the old bottle format). After I opened the box I noticed that the bottle shape was different and there was a glaring "new and improved" stamp on the bottle. I was still using my old product and just recently ran out so I used the new bottle. WOW - the new forumla is not improved...it's HORRIBLE. The shampoo doesn't lather up like it used to and leaves my hair feeling tangled almost like hay. Thinking it was just a bad hair day, I have used it several more times noting the same thing. Even when I wash my hair twice, the hay feeling is still there. No amount of condition even comes close to making it feel silky like the "old" formula. There is still an element of volume in my hair but it is weighed down more with the extra condition I have to use to make the hay look a litle less hay feeling. I recommend if ordering from Amazon and the picture looks like the same one you are used to (or doesn't indicate new formula), you ask the seller or buyer beware!!!

I am a HUGE believer Pureology products. There have been times I haven't been able to afford it, and have tried many different products that leave my hair lifeless, heavy, and laden with residue. I eventually always come back to Pureology, because my hair is light as a feather, I need only a small small amount, and it only needs to be washed once. It's 100% organic/vegan, so it's healthy too! I mix a volume shampoo (because my hair is lifeless) with a hydrating conditioner (because it's super hydrating for my super dry, processed hair) to get the best of both worlds! My hair dressers always comment on how healthy, shiny and soft my hair is, even though I process it blonde constantly. Goooo Pureology!

They have changed the formula; I have an old bottle and the ingredients are different. That being said, I still like the product so far; it still produces volume and seems to sustain the color. I am on the fence right now about buying it again, I will continue to use and see how my hair responds before making a final decision.

I was very upset about my last purchase. I have used this product for years. The product has changed, was really old (it came in the old style long neck bottle), or I got a terrible knockoff. It appears very thick, but it doesn't lather like it used to. The smell is not the same pleasant smell it used to be. It smells a little like ammonia when you use it. I am shocked if they changed the formula this radically, and if I got a knockoff, I don't know how to prevent it again. May have to stop buying here and start going back to the salon for comparison.

Seller was great. But the purple moisture shampoo is the way to go if you are blonde. This seems to strip my hair :/

I love this product. The scent is fabulous, and though I have not colored my hair, I appreciate the gentleness and conditioning aspect of the shampoo. The last bottle this size lasted over 2 years. Seemed to take a while to arrive, and when it did, the squeeze lid had been taped shut, but the lid was not fully screwed on so I lost some of the shampoo...booooo hoooo.

I was concerned about buying this product on-line after reading reviews of people getting watered down or fake product from other suppliers. This supplier provided the real Pureology Purevolume at a fraction of the cost I paid at my salon. This shampoo is fabulous - really does live up to the hype. It preserves my color and gives my hair a ton of volume.

I've had this product before from somewhere else and was very pleased with it, but this one for some reason seems more runny and not as thick ,like it has been watered down!
