I am impressed by this watch -- very impressed. It looks like a million bucks, it fits the wrist perfectly (snug, but not too tight; it doesn't sag to the side or jostle around with the arm's movement); and the size is ideal -- substantial but not huge. The face is very contrasty, making the markings "jump out" at a quick glance., so as to be quite easy to read. The controls (all from the crown) are simple and logical. I particularly love the solar aspect of the watch...ever been on a trip and had your watch battery die on you? It'll never happen with this one. Casio builds watches to last and to endure anything you throw at it, so I expect this will be a durable item. And the watch looks far more expensive than it is. Great watch. I am thrilled to have it. Get one for yourself and thank me later.

I have nice watches that I only wear when going out. When I'm doing yard work or other activities where i could damage my watch, this is the one I would wear. I've had it for 3 years and it runs and still looks great. I like it so much, I bought 2 for employees and 1 for my son.

My first solar watch. Its accurate and looks good and runs well. I got rid of the cheap uncomfortable rubber watch band and replaced with a much nicer leather band.

Not what I set out to buy but it checked all the boxes for me at a great price. It’s accurate and not as heavy at it looks.

A lot of people nit-pick this watch. Why? 1. It doesn't have a rotating bezel. Big deal! It says that in the description! I like the stationary bezel, it is never out of alignment. Think of the numbers as minute/second markers. 2. It doesn't have a screw down crown. Once again, it says that in the description. It is water resistant to 100m, why would it have a screw down crown? If you have to have a screw down crown, buy a Vostok. 3. It is hard to read. You have to be kidding me. It has a big face with big hands and markings, I just don't get this one. Maybe you need new reading glasses. 4. It costs more than a Duro. Right, that's because it's solar powered and it never needs batteries. And it's worth every penny. It is a very good looking watch, is well made, keeps excellent time, fits very well and has a day-date function. Just make sure that it gets enough light and it will always be ready to go. I absolutely love mine.

This Casio MTP-S110 solar watch is a great looking watch. It features both day and date which is great. Most solar watches in this style such as Seiko only feature the date and cost double the price. The time is easy to read. In addition to the 12 hour markers it also has the 24 hours marked as well. The glowing markers and hands are easily visible at night. The bezel is fixed and does nothing rotate. This was actually better for me so I don’t have to keep adjusting the bezel. I’ve had some Seiko watches where I had to constantly adjust the bezel because it would turn when I brushed up against it. The back is marked cased in China. The band is not oem Casino. The buckle is stamped made in China. There is definitely a difference in look and feel compared to OEM bands. This band feels more flimsy with a matte texture. I plan to buy an OEM one to replace it. The two step knob feels smooth while adjusting the day, date, and time. I plan to use it for travel as it has all the features that are important to me. The best part about it is the price. For under $100 I don’t have to worry about it when I travel. Based on the features and price I highly recommend this watch.

Revision at 5 months:One small scratch on the crystal. Still looks and works great. At the time of this review I have only owned it for a week, so I can't comment on reliability or wear issues. First impression: it is an outstanding watch for the price. It has the look and feel of a watch that costs twice as much.

Excellent fit and finish for a sub $100 watch.Good alignment on second hand and day of week and date is nice as well.Had the watch submerged in muddy water yesterday and it rinsed off with no issue and functions with no issue.Definitely worth the purchase. Looks very nice on the wrist.

I came across this watch while looking for an everyday work watch (i.e. rough it up without worrying about cost). I had a few check boxes to hit in order for it to be a contender.- under $150 CDN- analog watch face- date- if quartz it had to be solar- IMO a good looking watchThis watch nailed it. Received it today and switched out the strap for something I prefer for both looks and comfort. Love the dial on this watch. I have to say that I may have to buy another one of these that I won't scratch up, I like it that much.Conclusion... this is a fantastic solar watch. Love it's looks and the price makes it an immediate winner.There are some negatives like the watch bezel doesn't rotate (Why Casio?) and I'm not generally a fan of high polish on watches. I prefer a more brushed tool watch look. If they wanted to create a watch that would become an absolute must buy for watch collectors they would upgrade the design to include a rotating bezel, more of a brushed look and less high polish, and would have it on a brushed metal bracelet with milled clasp. 200 meters of water resistance would be a bonus. Charge accordingly.
