I have been trying to find a good entry level leatherman multitool for a while. And I have to say I'm very pleased with this one.The size is really good and its comfortable to use. There are no sharp edges like with most multitools. I really like the design. It feels very durable and sturdy. The blade comes sharp and ready to use. The Philips head and flat head work really well even with stubborn screws. I couldn't be happier with the rev, even the price is good. I will continue to be a leatherman user.

Good quality, it's pretty compact and seems durable enough. Effective for everyday uses.

I got the Rev because I wasn't sure about the Wave. This is my first multi tool since my cheapo swiss from when I was a kid, and I've been missing out. This has been my go-to tool for nearly all situations, and I almost never leave home without on my pocket.I just bought a 2nd Rev for my nephew, and I'm confident it should last his lifetime. The tool is sturdie, and the pliers have so many use cases.I do have a few issues with the Rev, but they can all be fixed. The tool is extremely tight. I added some oil to the joints and spent a couple of days opening and closing the tool to wear in the hinges. I also took some sand paper and a file to the flathead screw driver (it was way too thick and couldn't get it into most screws I needed the tool for.2 warnings, like with all pliers, if you're holding the tool wrong you will pinch your skin, and y'ouch it hurts. Also, and a bit annoyingly so, the tools opposite the screwdrivers the hook and can opener are very sharp and will get your finger if you don't open it correctly.I've had my multi tool for 4 years and though I use it several times a day of most weeks, the blade is sharp, the hinges are strong and loose enough to open with one hand, and it's been nearly perfect.

I've been using this tool for a few weeks now. I am very impressed with its mix of tools in a mid-size multi-tool. It has everything you need, and doesn't have things you don't. I echo another reviewer's comments about the mini-saw and the pretty useless scissors: I'll gladly trade those off for the package opener, which is a great tool you never knew you needed. I really like that the knife is available for use without opening the tool; I have an older Leatherman that has the design where you have to open the tool to use the knife. The Rev design is much much better in this regard. Overall, no complaints. Very happy with the purchase.Update: After using this multi-tool for more than a year, I can say that this has exceeded expectations. I have used every single tool in that time and cannot remember an instance where I wish it had others that are not included. This is such a bargain at $49. I am a weekend warrior, not in a profession that uses tools, so I can’t recommend it for a tradesman, mechanic, etc. But for those of us who are doing projects and maintenance around our properties, it is truly a toolbox on your belt. You will not be disappointed purchasing this item. For EDC on my belt, I purchased a custom leather belt sheath from American Bench Craft, which I also highly recommend.
