It rotates...albeit very slowly, but it says that in description, so I knew that going in. I'm mostly using this to showcase toys, props and action figures for my YouTube channel, so increasing the speed of rotation can be done in the post editing process. If someone wants a quick rotating display, this probably ain't your guy. My only real issue with it...sometimes the motor won't switch rotation from clockwise to counter-clockwise and vice versa via switching it off and back on again as intended. It will usually work, but I typically have to wait a few seconds before turning the power switch back on for the switch in rotation to kick in. If I turn it off and back on quickly, it doesn't catch. Idk if I got a bad one, or if this is normal. Sometimes waiting before switching back on does the trick...sometimes it doesn't. Total crapshoot that. Anyway...it's fine. There are probably better platforms out there. I bought this one. I'll stick with it until it breaks. No idea how this would stand up to heavier loads. I'm just putting light items on it, so hopefully it lasts a while.

I was happy with this turntable until we had a very brief power blink-out. Up to that point, it worked reliably and with almost no noise. The noise thing is key for me since I'm using it in a small work/meditation space. This one was a replacement for a similar turntable that worked nicely for four or five days, then started making very noticeable clicking sounds. Unfortunately, the power blink appears to have messed up the position of the turning surface on this one. As soon as the power came back on, the unit started making horrible noises. I've tried everything I can think of, but nothing works to get it quiet again for more than a few seconds, if that. Guess I'm looking for unit number three.

Excelente product. Great for product demonstrations. I put shoes on it and it didn’t have any trouble turning . It’s great only down side is that you can’t adjust the speed. It’s only one speed but then again it doesn’t say it has that feature, So it’s cool.

I like it but it makes a rubbing or squeaking noise when rotating. Wish I could WD-40 whatever is causing the noise to make go away otherwise, it’s annoying and makes you not want to turn it on.

Fantastic turntable! The casing measures 6” in diameter while the actual platform on top measures 5-3/8” in diameter. It takes about 30 seconds to rotate 1 revolution and is random in either direction every time you turn it on. It has four soft rubber pads on the bottom and an ON/OFF switch on the side. Works perfectly for my use!

Does go in either direction by turning it off and on, but no speed adjustments and it does have a quiet grinding sound to it. Still, does what I need.

This little fella is great, nice slow rotation for photography. I wish it came with removable top plates with different colors, but it's fine. Motor sound is minimal, which is a plus

I wish there was a setting to go a little faster, but no noise which is great
