What Caught My Attention Was....
THE SWADDLING CLOTH!Of course all Christian and Jewish people know about Jesus (and other babies of the time) being wrapped in a swaddling cloth/blanket and lain in the straw filled manger, so for me, the swaddling cloth - and especially the video- instantly seemed sensible, useful and fun! The other two top useful, thoughtful features were the sewn-in TARE tag, and the combination of three mesh bags and three muslin bags with nice toggles in S M L. For me, the organic status was very important, as there would be no bad smell, and no residual pesticide powder to contaminate washing water orthe food inside.I actually loved swaddling my huge (organic) Romaine lettuce purchases in this cloth, and wanted another one, since I eat a lot of salads. Further, certain easy wilt veggies like beet greens, spinach, and even fresh corn stay firm and HAPPY in this cloth. POSSIBLE HANDY HINT: also tried wetting the cloth under faucet flow after swaddling the lettuce, and shaking it, which worked really well and was a little bit easier in my kitchen than wetting the food first. The only reason I removed one star was because originally I wanted to inquire about buying another one. "Earth Junky" answered my inquiry very quickly. The answer was "not now" but she kindly gave me a 20% off coupon.Giving myself time to think this over, I realized I would actually like another two or four of the cloths - maybe I'll see if that would be financially good for her; I understand a new product like this has a lot of energy behind it, and a lot ofcompetition around it , and I care about her success; she is an Earth Goddess, very thoughtful and caring, so I want to support her and her financial health as well as as one person can, so will probably buy another set anyway, as the bagsare very useful. I subscribe to a CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) organic farm in a part of central California that will survive ocean rises, and more weirded weather patterns ( longer drought, longer winter snow/rain variations) over the next 5-10 years. I think buying not only organic, but locally (as local as you can get) is a smart way to insure our food supply when shipping grapes from Chile, Mexico, or other things from other places meets drought, or storms, or higher shipping prices, as will inevitably happen. I think it was Deepak Chopra who said helping another or others to survive, also helps you to survive is a workable wisdom.PS. After writing this paen of gratitude, I changed the rating to 5 stars. The quality of concept and product deserves it.

Great sampler
They started charging for regular grocery bags where I live in January, and I bought a set of grocery sized bags then. At first it seemed annoying, but after a few weeks, I really started to see the positives--not just the environment, but less nonsense for me to deal with. But a few weeks ago, I saw one of those super green hippie people in front of me at the store, with literally 20 of the produce bags in her cart. It seemed silly to me (and I realize I should have realized it sooner!) that one type of bag is now 'bad' but the other is 'good'? Nah. I normally used only 1-2 produce bags a week, but still, good heavens, I didn't need to use ANY, did I?Hence this purchase. Being a clueless nerd, I wasn't sure what style or size I would use most--mesh or solid, big or small. So this seemed a great sampler option--plenty of sizes and both kinds of bags. Also, the plastic lock tabs mean: Machine washable! They've been great so far: sturdy seams, the fabric substantial and solid. I did wash the 'swaddle sheet' before use, because it felt like it might have been stiff with fabric sizing, something I wasn't sure I wanted on my lettuce, and it's softened up nicely. The packaging is pressed paper, with a wee bit of tape. I was sad to see so many reviews of these products who got outraged at the possibility of plastic packaging, and how they would one star a product they otherwise seemed like, simply based on, I guess, the fact that they didn't have reliable plastic recycling in their community? But then, they seem okay with the plastic toggle on the bags? Man, I like being environmentally conscious, but not if it means I'm a Mean Greenie.

Multi-use, high quality bags
We definitively recommend these bags for anyone looking to have less plastic in their lives. They also make a great house warming gift or add-in for a wedding gift.Based on other reviewers’ suggestions, I ended up removing all of the plastic clasps after the first couple of uses because 1) you don’t actually need them (just use the drawstring) and 2) if you wash them, you’ll be heating plastic, which isn’t ideal. If you shop at Whole Foods, Target or other stores that give you bag credits, these count! The weight is labeled so clearly for cashiers, which was a requirement for us when we were looking to buy them. If your supermarket can’t change the tare weight, you can still use these bags for produce sold by quantity vs. by weight (such as plantains, pomegranates, etc. - varies by grocery store). You could also use them in diaper bags, travel, hiking, etc.The swaddle sheet works best for us if we sprinkle water on the sheet after swaddling the greens and store in the crisper drawer - we’ve had kale stay fresh looking and smelling for ten days this way, when it would last for 3-5 days in a plastic bag.As a side note, the customer service with Earth Junky is superb. We had an issue with our order and the seller went above and beyond in rectifying the situation and was very polite.

however I am disappointed in the quality
I received the bags quickly, however I am disappointed in the quality, I don't think they will last very long at all. There were a lot of loose threads, marks on one of the bags & another bag had a big run in it. The seams appear not to be stitched very well either. Even the printing on the bags is cheaply done.

they are a beautiful cotton but the non mesh bags aren't so great ...
they are a beautiful cotton but the non mesh bags aren't so great for storing veggies in the fridge very long... seems like clothe is not the best container for vegetables... however, the mesh bags work for picking out small vegetable items at the grocery store versus using their plastic!
