Well worth it
I wanted to hold off for a while before posting a review, to get a better idea of the product. So here goes...I've been carrying this holster almost daily for a little over a month now, and I've got to say, it's great. The leather backing is comfortable against my side, while the kydex outer holds the holster open, even when empty, making re-holstering a breeze. My pistol seats firmly, with a solid "click" as the passive retention secures. The higher ride takes some getting used to, but - unlike any other CC holster I've used (including my OWB) - it allows me to acquire a complete grip on my sidearm before drawing. This, coupled with the smooth, snag-free holster, makes for an easy, rapid, controlled draw.On the down side, it is a bit thicker than the pictures indicate. This is caused by the double-layered, tuckable belt-clip (oh, and when tucked, the clip itself isn't exactly low-profile). Additionally, on full-length barrels - as opposed to compact or sub-compact - the barrel extends below the bottom of the holster, and can dig into your hip depending on where you carry. Personally, I consider the discomfort well-worth it - especially as few holster-makers make a custom-fitted holster for my pistol.Basically, if you're looking for a decent IWB, from an American manufacturer, and you're on a budget, buy Outlaw.

Perfect for my pistol carry needs
I've had this holster for about a week now and im very happy with it. I carry a full-sized walther ppx and this holster holds it firmly in place, better than any holster I've used in the past year. It is comfortable to wear all day and the build qaulity isn't bad at all. Even while driving it stays put and doesn't cause any issues. Over all I would recommend this as a solid everyday carry holster. The only issue I've had, which this is just the way I carry not the holster's fault, is that the leather dug into my skin along the top while driving. To fix this I added some adeasive molskin to the back, this fixed any discomfort. Again not the fault of the holster just the way I carry. If I wear a shirt under the holster there is no issues. Just a little tip in case anyone else has this issue.

but not great. Overall it works well
Decent holster, but not great. Overall it works well, but there is a lot of room for improvement in terms of craftsmanship and attention to details. The Good:- Nice belt clip- Thick Kydex- Solid rivets- Strong retention- carries well, though not the most comfortable IWB.The bad:- The Kydex mold they used interferes with the external safety, I suspect they used the model with the de-cocker to make the mold. During normal wear the kydex rubbing against the external safety both engaged and disengaged the safety. I consider this a major issue, and will be looking to heat and modify the kydex around the safety before I use it again.- The Kydex is not lined and has some hard rub points that I fear will mark the finish of the firearm, even after just a few days I can see some rub marks on the surface of the firearm, it is worst on the top of the slide between the sights. If the kydex was lined it would eliminate this problem, but since the shell is not removable It would be very difficult to line properly.- There is no retention adjustment, the kydex is hard riveted in-place. As mentioned above, the shell is not removable it is riveted in place and has no adjustment for retention.- Thin leather used for the backing is already stretching with wear. I am worried that over time the leather will loosen retention, and since it is not adjustable, there isn't anything you can do about it.- The leather backing is not lined, and the hardware comes into contact with your skin. This is not bad, but it is annoying.- The leather backing is too short and the slide and the sharp edges of the rail on the lower frame will dig into your skin, and a bit too short up top as well there is no backing on the beaver tail.

Rough Leather
The holster fits the gun very well and stays in place on my belt, but the back side of the leather is so rough it rubs my skin raw. I don't wear a tshirt under my main shirt so it rests against my skin. Other holsters I own have a smooth side that rests against side. It may also have to do with the quality of the leather, which almost feels like cardboard. I thought about returning it but I figure I can take some sand paper or something to smooth it out some. I won't buy another one for my other handguns unless you make the inside smoother.

Don't bother unless you don't mind DIY finish work
Backing leather is STUPIDLY rough. If they would simply flip the leather backing around so that the smooth side faces your body and the rough side is towards the gun - the roughness will NOT hurt your gun's finish any more than the smooth side - this would immediately solve about 90% of the discomfort. Edges of the kydex shell were also pretty sharp, so between burnishing the leather edges myself, smoothing the kydex edges, and then replacing the belt clip with belt loops and Pull-the-Dot snaps (WAY more secure), what you're getting here is pretty much a half-finished holster ... hence the lower price compared to other holsters. These things kinda seem like they're slapped together in just a couple of minutes without any real thought or effort put towards quality of craftsmanship. One of the screws for the belt clip was almost stripped-out, too, right out of the package, so it's a good thing the belt loops I put on had attaching hardware of their own. That said, the finished product conceals very well, carries securely, and is (mostly) comfortable. Not terrible, but I do wish that I'd spent just a bit more on this one and bought something more well-finished.
