Excellent dock
Nice Dock, works well under Windows XP-32 and Windows 7-64. You can mount both drives at the same time under XP or Win 7 if you are using it as a normal USB dock.Positive: Nice on-off switch. Nice hard drive indicator LEDs. Uses a standard USB 3.0 A to B male cable (large connector). You can duplicate hard drives!Negative: None that I have found. To be aware of: There is only one cable from the dock to the PC, so if you are accessing both drives at the same time, you will do it at half the speed for each drive, but the total bandwidth will be at USB 3.0 speed. If you have both drives in the dock and you only access one drive, you will do so at full USB 3.0 speed.

works great with just two problems
I've been happy with this product so far, but there are two things I've found that aren't ideal.First, when I have two drives in it, both mounted on my Mac, and then eject (dismount) one of the volumes and pull the drive out, it momentarily disconnects the other drive. So I get the dreaded Mac OS warning that I need to eject the drive before removing it. The only workaround I've found is that when I'm gonna pop one drive out, I have to eject them both and pop both out, then put the one back in that I want to continue to use.Second, there are no markings on the unit to show which direction the "dubbler" function works. Does it duplicate the back drive onto the front? Or the front drive onto the back? Get this wrong and you're gonna be very, very sad. They could have easily stamped a white arrow onto both side of the black plastic case to make this clear, but they didn't. (Just in case you're wondering, it duplicates from back to front)

No luck after many tires--returning
Dyconn Dubbler Dock (DUBDB) Superspeed USB 3.0 to Dual 2.5/3.5 in SATA Hard Drive Docking Station - Stand Alone Hard Drive Duplicator/Cloner/Copier I bought this station to duplicate my 128G Samsung SSD to a new Intel 480G SSD. It seemed to recognize the drives just fine (blue light), and I started the copy operation many times. After the initial sequence of lights to confirm the clone operation, it did very little if anything. This was repeated many times. Connecting the USB cable to my Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit desktop, it did not recognize either drive. Repeating, it once recognized the target drive. I saw that the partition table had been copied from my source SSD. However, I could not repeat this in subsequent tries, and further attempts to clone or connect via USB failed. I left the clone operation running overnight--still no progress. My system had a frozen mouse, requiring a few reboots in safe mode. In summary, I spent a lot of time trying to get this unit to work. Either I was unlucky, or there are quality problems (ESD?) with this manufacturer or distribution chain. At least my original SSD still works fine.

Seems like this device gets errors even on good HDD
Did not work consistently. We get message "Write Disk Error" about 9% in to clones and then they fail. Have tried 10 clones and 8 failed this way. I then did a clone on the same hard drives with a competitor brand cloner and had no issue. Seems like this device gets errors even on good HDD.Manufacturer respondedThank you for contacting Dyconn. We are sorry to hear that you are experiencing an issue with your Dubbler Dock. Based on the info you have provided us, it appears that your unit may be defective. If you are still within the return policy of the store where you purchased the dock, we suggest going through them to set up an exchange.Potentially bad quality control if not bad product. may purchase again.

It clones a drive without a PC! Works as Advertised
I originally got this to try and recover a bad drive that kept disconnecting from whatever I attached it to, not bad sectors or drive itself, just power hoping it would do it. No luck, and if you tried to clone a bad drive with this, you would get I would think another bad drive since it clones bad sectors from the source. This dock is great for creating backups of drives, cloning a drive to use in another PC, all without needing a PC. Compare to other PC based devices you would need software like TrueImage or something that costs extra $$ to have and use. This you simply plug in to a wall outlet, insert your source drive and target drive and hit the clone process. It will only clone the size of the source, so if you select a source drive of 500Gig, and a Target of 1TB, you will only get the 500 GB cloned and the rest will be unallocated space to the OS. You can also hook this up to a PC and use as a USB drive. If you have two drives plugged in you will see two new partitions to access in your OS. It is hot swappable as well. Because its USB3.0 its fairly fast also when using with a PC which is a plus. Clones without a PC all happen local and go pretty quick, its just going to amount to how large of source drive you select and the amount of files on it. Tons of little files will take longer then less qty large files. Overall this a quality well built product worth having. If you work in IT then its a no brainer tool to have at your disposal. I'd buy it again if facing the decision to pull the trigger or not on the purchase.
