It is the best book to learn python from scratch

One of the best book for beginners.The 1st part of the book is really really good.Most of the basics is well explained with lots of examples.But the second part is too brief.I mean If you really want to learn pygame or numpy or Matplotlib you must read their own documentation because this book covers a small part of it.But the Django part was good(explained elaborately).I have attached the pics of the detailed contents.

This book is absolutely for you if you are beginner.. It really teaches you the way you can learn python been using it for a year.. However it's pages got detach from the corner automatically but knowledge was worth it..

This is an absolute must read for complete beginners, it assumes reader has no programming background and would teach everything from the basics. The best part is that there are three projects that would help you cement whatever one learns in the chapters. Easy to read with proper explanation of technical Jargon.This book would clear your basics for sure and prepare you for reading about more advanced topics and applications using Python.

Absolutely new to programming world... hence only giving review on quality of book I received today. It's very good and its 2nd edition which I wanted and initial few pages read told me its examples are for python version 3.6 and above while few classics are carried forward from ver 2 as well which still works.... so far so good...will revise my rating and comments after 2 months to give better idea to new programmers like me.

This is an excellent book for Python beginners. This is a copy of the original publication as the printing quality is average, saddest part is there are pages missing from 69-76 , chapter-5 Conditional tests. Originally published copy is probably thrice the amount of this copy.

I feel the way the book is organized seemed to unlock a seamless progression in my understanding of Python that once I would get to the exercises in the end I was actually able to work through those myself or at least knew what I needed to google to clarify what I needed further elaboration with.Whether you're delving into Python for professional reasons or simply as a personal endeavor, I wholeheartedly recommend this book.This book has made the learning journey enjoyable. If you're looking for a reliable companion on your Python learning path, this book is an excellent choice to get started.

I have to say, after taking many different courses on python programming (both online and in university) this is by far the best value and most comprehensive approach. Everything is taught in a clear and concise manner with opportunities to practice what has been taught while explaining the rationale and logic behind each concept.With each concept building upon the last, it allows you to easily put everything into context and see how a program or block of code would develop.Highly recommend for anyone looking for a clear and concise way of learning python.

Ótima porta de entrada, e referência de consulta permanente às estruturas básicas da linguagem. Não que seja perfeito, masé no mínimo excelente, e isso não é pouco! Parabéns ao autor, de verdade. Me diverti bastante aprendendo a essência do Python com esse livro, ao longo de alguns meses. Não acredito que alguém se arrependa do investimento. Vá com calma e sem pressa, aprendendo no seu ritmo e voltando sempre que necessário. E mantenha ele por perto sempre! Adoraria encontrar um livro desses pra C++, ou que o autor escrevesse um livro desses pra C++, mas isso é utópico, pois o C++ é o contrasenso do Python, kkkkk...

Brilliant! Here's what I thought:Pros:-Suitable for all ages-Easy tutorial to download software (multiple options available, most are free!)-All code explained clearly-Good consolidation of knowledge by assigning tasks-Good challenging level - pushes you to become a good programmer-Plenty to things to learn as the book is detailed-Quite fun too!Cons:-At times the code can become quite difficult despite the book's explanation - a lot of resilience and problem-solving is required-This book is purely self-learning which brings its own setbacks as there is not many places to look for help. Having said that, self-learning is a great skill to learn and this book develops it greatly.Overall, this was a good buy and I would definitely recommend it for anyone wishing to learn Python from scratch.

El libro es tremendamente didáctico y te enseña desde el principio. No necesitas de conocimientos previos y los ejemplos aunque sencillos, te permiten seguir desarrollándolos y poco a poco vas aprendiendo subiendo el nivel.Lo aprendido no lo dejas ahi olvidado, muchas veces en los propios ejemplos, vuelve sobre ejemplos anteriores para extenderlos. Me ha servido realmente e incluso he comprado mas libros de este autor para seguir avanzando.Mas que recomedable para empezar DESDE CERO.
