Movo/Micnova Video Accessory Triple Shoe Bracket for Lights, Monitors, Microphones and More

So, I was walking around a convention center with concrete floors, and I had this DSLR on a monopod. Eventually, the rocking force of me walking with it like a cane would shake the thumb screw connector loose. The rig fell off more than once, only saved from hitting the floor because the shotgun mic was attached to the camera's mic connector.This thing works fine, though maybe its heavy metal is less ideal for what I need. I might replace it with a plastic one that might not shake so heavily. If you don't use monopods or at least don't walk around with them constantly tapping them on the floor as you step, maybe you won't have this problem.

I really like the idea of this product and the fact that it is compact and very travel-friendly. I was happy when I received the product as it was well designed and looks nice.FYI I purchased this to use with the VidPro 330-X On-Camera Light and with my Rode VMPR VideoMic Pro R with Rycote Lyre Shockmount.Since there are hex key slots I thought it would fit in nicely and I could easily rotate the side shoe mounts to face forward rather than up. This initial nuisance of facing upward became a big and frustrating ordeal. I ruined my 2mm hex key trying to loosen up the screw (yes I was rotating in the correct direction). Frustrated I contacted customer service and they responded within the half hours (really happy about that). Unfortunately, I still was unable to resolve the issue because a hex key "should" work. I decided to attempt another solution that may work. I grabbed the edges of the shoe adapter with my vice grips and with a little force it was able to rotate. In the process, I have left some annoying blemishes on the shoe adapter, but it is useable and I don't have to return it now...So in conclusion, its a good piece of kit, but it comes with some annoying frustration that I should not have had to deal with.

This cold shoe adapter is ok. I use it on my Panasonic GH4 and mount a lite panels light, shotgun mic and a wireless mic on it. What I like about it is that it is a low profile adapter but the problem about this adapter is that it sits really low to the camera and with all of my attachments mounted to it, it is hard to access the buttons on the top of the camera to make any adjustments. If you don’t need to make any adjustments like white balance, ISO, shutter while recording or if you don’t need to mount anything above those controls than this will work. It will still work using all of the slots but it will be a little hard to make those changes on the fly.

I'm very pleased with the unit. The shoe needs a 3mm Allen wrench to loosen and rotate the cold shoes, allowing accessories to be faced according to individual needs. A have a small concern that the unit might strain the camera show, but decided the Movo's compactness offsets the leverage of attaching a mic and flash to one of those huge Y-brackets.

I was rather impressed at this well thought out accessory. At first, I was disappointed since my microphone I attached on the side shoe was facing the wrong way (up). However, on closer inspection, I saw that you can adjust the position of each shoe with an Allen wrench. Hooray! I easily loosened each bolt, turned the shoe 90 degrees and tightened it up. These guys did their homework on everyday use and versatility. It's also pretty solid. The base is made of die cast metal and it doesn't feel cheap. I'm sure it will survive for years to come of lugging it around to gigs or tossing it in my toolbox when not in use.

This thing is pretty rad. After I bought my monitor, I found myself wanting to use a Rode mic AND monitor but since they both mounted to the hot shoe I was only able to use one. I found myself taping the mic to various things... NOT exactly professional!This has been great. Super build quality... It's solid metal and in fact it might be a bit too heavy. Quality components... I anticipate it lasting for a long while.Price is right... Just buy it already!

This thing rocks!Sturdy & compact.I thought it was going to be made of plastic from the pictures but I was pleasantly surprised. All aluminum construction and very substantial feel to it.I have a couple of the older style "Y" shaped solutions which always worry me because of how tall they are. Simply bumping Ito something with that design could destroy your camera's show mount because of the leverage.This design on the other hand is much more compact which also keeps your rig nice and tidy.I like it so much I bought a second one the day I received it.

I would say a very good product, except for at the bottom of the hot shoe that connects to the camera, it has a weird quirky wobble very slight but nonetheless a wobble. I can't figure out why a manufacturer can't get this type of product right it seems so simple... If this unit would have felt like one solid piece I would give it five stars

This is brilliant. Looks gorgeous, feels very very well built and fits my Panasonic GH4 perfectly. I am using it to connect 2  Andoer 160 LED Video Light Lamp Panel 12W 1280LM Dimmable for Canon Nikon Pentax DSLR Camera Video Camcorder  lights and the  Rode VideoMicro Compact On Camera Microphone  and they sit perfectly on the camera.Cant complain at all, nothing wrong with this product. You are far better buying a double or triple rail than this , don't be fooled by the hex screws , they are only there to hold the sprung metal slide clips in place. The sockets are plastic moulded and do not turn..

The column between the camera's hot shoe and the body of shoes is very short and could be a problem depending on the items you want to set-up. Not a major problem, but had to position wireless mic receiver horizontally.

Nicely built, I gave it 3 star because one of my flash don't fit in. It should be a little bit big
