Microlife Bp3na1-1x Deluxe Automatic Digital Blood Pressure Monitor

I bought this monitor because the old Omron hand pumped monitor I had quit working. This one with the motorized pump is great, on batteries or AC power. Compared to my old unit this one takes up more space and is heavier but the ability to download the data makes up for that. The software is a bit simplistic with what I feel has limited features to select and rearrange data for printing. The link (function) for exporting the data is a bit hard to find and puts it in some kind of code format that is practically useless (like this: - <MeasureRec> User #1 <RecID>1000066</RecID> <MAM>0</MAM> <Arrhythmia>1</Arrhythmia> <ReadingDate>2011-03-09T10:38:00-05:00</ReadingDate>)I think there is a way to get it into XL but it's not easy to find, and Help is of limited help. If the software was better and more intuitive with better help it would be a fantastic unit. Right now I'm still trying to 'hack' my way through it to get what I want in a spreadsheet. The print function for the graphs it creates works fine.

This is the first time I bought Microlife. I have an Omron Series 7 wrist monitor which I will still use for traveling. The Microlife and Omron had almost identical results..It comes in a soft zippered carry case, but I accidentally pressed the start button through the thin material. A hard case would be a blessing to travelers. The large display, clearly marked buttons and indicators, make it so easy to use. Averaging three tests is a great way to eliminate error. The main reason I bought this monitor is I want a unit to stay in the home and use the AC adapter instead of batteries. In time we will connect it to a computer, but I read a few negative comments on that. Maybe I will update you later. All in all, very satisfied with the purchase.

This monitor is not accurate. I took it to my doctor visit to compare and it was measuring 30 higher than my actual blood pressure. I tried to returned it to buy a different brand and even thought i was in the 30 days return window it could not be returned. I was very dissapointed

I ordered this item for my mother in Arkansas who has to monitor her blood pressure several times a day. The cuff that came with it she was not able to use on her own and required help getting it on her arm. I called the company that made it and was able to get her one that has a metal bar on it so she could easily slide the cuff through and tighten it herself with no help. She has a nurse that see her 3 times a week and the nurse checked it against her's and it was right on the numbers.

For a blood pressure monitor that has an easy to read and understand display in this price range it is hard to beat. I highly recommend this product to anyone that is needing to track their blood pressure.
