This tripod is definitely worth it—especially if you’re dealing with a heavy payload. It’s remarkably sturdy, yet lightweight and easy to set up, making it great for travel. The size is practical, and adjusting the height is easy.A quick note: some reviews mention that the accessory tray (or “table”) is incorrectly designed, claiming the tabs are misaligned by 30°. That’s actually intentional. You’re supposed to twist the tray 45° to lock it into place. This design increases overall stability.

This is an excellent tripod suitable for everything it was designed for. I have two of them, including one that came with my purchase of a Skywatcher Az-GTI. The tripod is solidly built with NO flexure at all. I use mine with short tube refractors, maksutov cassegrains, smart telescopes, and even one long tube refractor. All of this on a tripod that's amazingly lightweight. Within its design specs you will find this capable of handling many astronomy applications. Highly recommended!

This tripod is great for use with a Seestar or Dwarf telescope to use EQ orientation. I have bought 2 of these because I have multiple scopes. This is very sturdy and I have no fear of my scopes falling over. It has an accessory shelf that locks the tripod legs open. This tripod is very light in weight and portable yet solid and strong. I'd recommend also getting the EQ head unit for this and also Uxcell 2pcs Adjustable Clamping Lever Handle M8 x 32mm Metric Black Oxide Carbon Steel Male Threaded Stud Hand Knobs if you are going to get the head unit and use it with a Seestar. I would not hesitate to buy this again, after all, I've bought 2 already!

Works as expected .. solid and sturdy

I purchased this tripod for my S50 along with an adjustable mount for easy leveling. Bringing the S50 up to eye-level makes the setup and adjustment process even faster and easier than the stock tripod. This tripod is also light yet sturdy-feeling, a good compromise between its cost and the more expensive carbon fiber options.

If you're looking at this, it's because you have the star tracker that pairs with it. If that's the case, you probably need it.Seems super duper sturdy. Your stuff is not going to fall, as this tripod has a wide stance.Instructions on getting the tray in would've been nice, but look at the pics and you'll figure it out.

The Sky Watcher Star Adventurer Tripod is sturdy and well made for using a fluid head on the Seestar S50. The tripod more than supports the weight of the Seestar S50. Only drawback of this item and thus the 4 star rating is the middle cutouts of the tray are not aligned correctly to the middle base piece. However, tray can be still installed on the ends to support the tripod legs.

Very sturdy and portable. I like it a lot for the price.
