Left me wanting more...
It looks like the consensus is that this book is a bit light on content. Like other reviewers. I pre-ordered this book months ago and was really excited to get it. It finally arrived several days ago and it is a bit disappointing. Paizo produces some great content and I'm an avid player of both Pathfiner 1e/2e and Starfinder.A few of their most recent books have been a bit below their normally high standards. This and The Pathfinder 2e "Lost Omens Gods & Magic" in particular. Now there is some great stuff in here and the usual high quality of the artwork and book layout remain. The content itself however left me wanting more.In a sci-fi setting the ship is often the most important part of the milieu Think the Millenium Falcon, Firefly or the Enterprise. Is this a book your Starfinder group needs? No. However, i still recommend the book because there is enough to warrant a purchase. Hence the three star rating. It is not a masterpiece like many other Paizo books are. This book has the opposite problem of The Traveller: Highguard book (that system's spaceship book). That book has amazing content, yet has a horrible layout and is in need of some solid editing. If the two could be combined, then we would be cooking with gas.I hope this is not a trend in the quality of books we can expect in the future from Paizo. This is such a great time for us TTRP enthusiasts. With D&D 5e, Pathfinder 2e, Starfinder, the latest Star Trek RPG, a new edition of Vampire; The Masquerade and a lot of great OSR systems too (this is just a few of the great games available), we are truly in a golden age of TTRPGs. I've been in this hobby since the late seventies, yeah I'm old, and the quality of material available to the RPG player/DM is staggering.Tl;DR - Solid, if not spectacular book. Not necessary, but still a good buy for most groups. Great art and layout, but light on content.

Good, but not great
I was expecting a little more from the book, I've had it pre-ordered since February and it seems like a long time to wait to be a little bit disappointed. Don't get me wrong, I get all the Starfinder books, so I was going to get it anyway, but it seems "thin?" Like its been watered down a little bit. I do like the section of 'mission seeds,' there are some clever ideas for story starters and getting your group on their next adventure.

Quite a bit less than expected with Paizo usual hype find better ships on third party forums kind of waste of money unless you like pictures too way too many months to receive since ordered
