Perfect weight
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. A lot of skip balls that you find these days are too lightweight and don’t work well. We used to have one with a lightweight ball on a rope and it was disappointing. This one has just the right weight to the ball that it has good momentum and is easy to keep going. Having a rigid pole connect to the ball is an idea that never occurred to me before I saw this type, but it is actually a lot nicer to use than one which has a rope. It stays straight for skipping, doesn’t get tangled around your ankles and is a lot safer for kids to use. If anyone has trouble getting their pole to stay together, as I did at first, you can tighten the bungee cord inside by pulling it tight and tying a new knot. Mine stays together well now and you can still fold it up for storage in the bag provide. They provide foam to put over the ankle loop but I didn’t find that necessary and left it off. It is a really fun toy and good exercise. I love how the ball blinks and flashes as it turns. It would be fun without, but does add extra appeal for kids. My daughter loves it!

Childhood nostalgia!
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. I bought this skip-it for my girls because I was talking about childhood toys one day and they had never heard of a ‘skip-it’! Once it arrived, we had a lot of fun taking turns to see who could ‘skip’ the highest number of times. It works well and I especially love that it folds up with it’s compact design so that it doesn’t take up much space when not in use (I’m including a photo to demonstrate how it folds up). The light up feature is a fun bonus – and not even something I realized that it would do when I originally ordered it, so that was a fun surprise! One tip I have though is that it includes a pink foam that I didn’t realize what it was for so I threw it away, assuming it was just part of packaging… however, this foam actually goes around the plastic ankle piece and makes it more comfortable when ‘skipping’. Because we didn’t keep that foam piece, we all wear long leggings or tall socks when skipping so that the ankle piece doesn’t rub up against our ankles. Make sure you keep and install that pink foam piece because it will make a big difference in terms of comfort. Hope that helps!

Skipping ankle ball
╔ ■ Price Point / Value: 4.5/5╠ ■ Quality: 5/5╠ ■ Recommendation: 4.5/5╠ ☼ Overall: 4.5/5╠ ►Product Need: Kid toy╠ ►Product Pros: No charging, Led flashing, thick padding,╠ ►Considerations: Long term use╠ ►My Review: This is a fun game to get the kids moving and help work on the coordination. It comes almost all assembled with the need to just add the padding which is a thick comfortable round piece. The end ball has a nice bright multi color led that lights up as this spins around that works in day and night. This is recommended for anyone that loves hula hoop as it has the same motions and concept. I am not sure if my kids will use it long term, but got its use out of this summer. It has enough weight to it and good design that it wont fly into the air as you spin. Overall the kids love it and would recommend it for the price.

Fun for adults & kids
We purchased a regular skip ball but thought I'd buy a light up one for the kids since they love playing with the regular one. When this arrived, they knew what it was but told them they couldn't play with it till the sun started going down. As soon as it got a little dark, I let them play with it. Since then, they absolutely love playing with this. Even my teen was wanting to play with it. While the hole is smaller than I what I remember mine used to be, my foot was able to fit through it and I was even able to play with it. We use this on grass as I wasn't sure how it would be on the cement and didn't want to risk scraping or cracking it. This really is a lot of fun to play with and didn't think the kids would like it but they absolutely love it. Really is a lot of fun and the lights are bright enough that you can clearly see the end. The part that goes around the ankle doesn't hurt either. Really is fun for the whole family and you get a pretty decent workout.

Distance learning P.E.
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. my son has lost out on tons of physical activity he used to get at school since stay at home orders have started due to covid. I’ve been thinking of fun ways we can incorporate “recess” and lunch playtime into our day while also getting some physical activity going. Being nostalgic kid from the 80’s he now has a bouncey ball, hula hoop, slip n slide and a kick ball (blus his trike and a skateboard)- this one seemed cute with the ball that lights up. I added a video that shows where you open the ring to slide the foam ankle cushion on and what the lights look like in the dark.

Dont expect this to last long
Bought this for my daughter for Christmas and the first day of using it, pieces were already falling off of it. It still functions with the missing pieces but after only one week it's pretty banged up and scuffed. Theres and elastic band that runs through the pieces (which is how its able to fold) but the band has to be pulled and adjusted occassionally to keep the ball at the end from flopping around. The lights function well which is cool and despite the pieces breaking she loves the toy and my 12 year old son was even asking for one. I fear however that it wont last long and I'll have to get her a new one, though I'll probably look for a different brand.

Great Skip It!
My 7 year daughter loves this!! Its not the same kind of skip it I had as a child lol but then nothing is built like it used to be.It folds up nicely to store, which is a nice feature. It lights up when its moving which is cool. Its alittle shorter than it should be, which makes it lift off the ground. My daughter had to practice until she could keep it on the ground while skipping. It wacked her in the knees a few times... and hit my car... and my walls.. and dog bowls hahaha... it should be done outside ;-)Overall though it's super cute and it keeps her burning off energy which is the goal of every parent right?! Lol
