Great bags. Look great on my classic Harley Softail. Been through a LOT of heavy winds and still holding up great. Haven’t gotten them wet yet but they look great and hold everything I carry around plus some. Fit an 8 pack of Bud Light aluminum bottles in the box with not problem.

The bags are of a great quality! However, these will not fit on a Triumph America and allow for the passenger to comfortably place there feet on the Pegs or Floor Boards. Maybe if you use a relocation kit for your passengers pegs? Otherwise these were very nice, just not for my bike.

I bought and installed the bags. I used them for 5 weeks. I opened the bags less than 10 times total. Today when I went to open the bag, I discovered that the rivet holding together the loop that secures the plastic clip on one of the straps had simply fallen out. So now I've got a 5 week old set of bags that won't stay closed. And of course the return period ended five days ago. The bags themselves seem rugged enough, but the straps and plastic clips to hold them closed are cheap junk. Extremely disappointed.

I bought these bags to replace an old set of Willie and Max bags that I was using. I had a few things that I wanted different, and I hoped that this set would give me those things. The things I was most interested in when buying this set of bags was the lock, larger size, and better weather-proofing. This was one of the few bags on the market with locks that I liked the looks of. It's measurements are larger than my old ones. The listing states, "They are all weather proof and resistant to water or heat and provide safety to soft luggage from heat exhausts or rain." They seemed like the bags for me.When I first ordered them, I got a single bag shipped to me. When I notified Amazon, a replacement set was sent immediately, and it came as a pair. I have now owned and used this set for 4 months, and this is what I think.Regarding the lock, it is a 2 dial combo lock. It is not super secure, and with only 100 possible combinations, it would be easy enough to work your way through all of the numbers until it opened. This is not highly secure. I knew this when I purchased them, but was looking for something to deter the casual thief. It would not stop someone who really wants whats inside. Also, after only a couple of months, and only a couple of rain showers, the locks, especially the one on the "up side" when the bike is parked, are getting quite rusty. Though it seems to be mostly cosmetic right now, as they seem to work still, if not slightly stiffer, I am afraid that going forward, it will only get worse.And that ties in with the other issue. Weatherproofness, or lack thereof. THESE BAGS ARE IN NO WAY, SHAPE, OR FORM WEATHERPROOF!! They may be resistant to rain in that if there is a mild shower it will keep things inside reasonably dry while the bike is parked. However, if there is any wind, or if you are riding the bike, expect that there will be water inside the bags. Puddles of it. Though the lids wrap around the top of the bag, they are not very well fitted, so there is plenty of room for water to get in, especially if you are riding and water is being flung up from beneath. However, even parked, I have left the bike in a rainstorm with moderately heavy rain and moderate wind, and when I came back to it, it was very obviously wet inside the bags. Additionally, the bags have a kind of felt liner that wicks up the water, and takes forever to dry. Honestly, my old bags were more water resistant than these. I never go anywhere without plastic drybags inside of these saddlebags because I know things will get wet in them.The size is what it is. The measurements are given, it is larger than my old ones, so I have no complaints about that. The buckles, though, I will mention, leave something to be desired. Both sides of the buckles are on leather straps, making it next to impossible to buckle one-handed. My old set had the bottom part riveted to the bag, so it was stationary and you could use a single hand to connect the top part of the buckle to it. Also, these buckles are much smaller, and harder to handle, even with two hands, and especially when wearing gloves. They often are hard to mate up, a sign of poor quality manufacturing. I would have liked larger, better quality buckles.Would I go back to my old ones? No, but only because I need the larger size, and I like having the locks. Otherwise, I would. The looks aren't bad. I am not really into chrome or tassels, and this set does not have much of either of those, so that works for me. I had to slightly modify the saddle strap of the set for it to fit my bike, but I think that would be the case with just about any set, and once set up, it fits well, and looks decent. I give it 3 stars because most of the features are alright, and the problems with water and the cheap buckles are offset by the price.EDIT: (16 May 2017) Today, after using these bags for about 15 months, housed in a garage though sometimes out in the rain during the day, one of the locks seized up an no longer unlocks. It had to be removed from the bag cover for me to get my contents out. Aside from it being disappointing the the lock no longer works, and serves one of the main purposes for me buying these bags, it also demonstrates how easily someone could get into these bags if they wanted. The locks will not deter any more than the most casual of thieves.

Lots of room, good quality

Specifically bought these because they came up as a fit for my 2008 Honda 750 Honda Shadow Spirit. They are a little too big and sit directly on my exhaust pipe. Really can't use the bag on that side. Too bad I didn't realize this before I melted the phone case on my daughter's iPhone. Good thing she had it in her purse, which protected it a little.The biggest issue is the plastic clips on the main straps. These are poorly designed and kind of a pain to snap close.Bags look nice and are functional. You get what you pay for!
