Wow, very different from an older version I once had. More violence, more nudity, more bloodshed and a very impressive remastered picture. 5 stars

Im not much of a Jess Franco fan, but this is one of the few titles I do love. Maybe it’s just Klaus Kinski, but I find the movie intriguing and can watch it over and over. A few good gore scenes as well though not loaded down.

As my title says ,this DVD was a rehash of the murders,not enough on the Conspiracy theories part for my taste ,but the scenes of the crime scenes then and now was interesting but not enought o carry this DVD

The movie was interesting but to say it is based on the Ripper murders is an over reach. Interesting movie but not based on the ripper murders.

this is a rely awful film, absolutely no atmosphere, nothing like the jack the ripper story, i do not know who this film was based on but it was not jack the ripper of 1888 London, they have just stolen the name jack the ripper for this completely unrelated and absolutely awful and terrifyingly boring farce, AVOID like the plague...

If you want an historically accurate film of Jack the Ripper then look elsewhere - this is, after all, a Jess Franco movie! Being a Franco (and Kinski) fan this does prove, however, that given a decent budget & cast he was a talented film director, despite all the low grade dross he also churned out. This film is as much a police drama as it is a horror, so may put off more hardcore horror fans, but it isn't shy on both nudity & gore when Jack strikes (Lina Romay being an obligatory victim). The recreation of the River Thames is laughable though! Disc comes with both English or German audio & a few interesting extras.

Very entertaining with nudity what else do you expect from Jess Franco.Not a great quality film or much to do with Jack but I've not seen a Jack film that has much to do with the truth yet.

Not as decribed, this is a poor American film, presumably produecd in someones garden shed!! The acting is atrocius!!

Una versione della famosa storia di Jack lo squartatore da un punto di vista diverso: quello di Jack lo squartatore.Questo film non è un giallo, sappiamo da subito chi è l'assassino: il protagonista, un dottore (Klaus Kinski) della Londra vittoriana.Pellicola davvero bella da seguire, sopratutto se vi piace l'atmosfera nebbiosa dei vicoli notturni dei bassifondi di Londra.Klaus Kinski è eccezionale come sempre.Curiosità: non comprendo il significato del sottotitolo, "erotico profondo". Nel film ci sono poche scene di nudo, e perfettamente coerenti con la situazione.
