The Best Mint Julep Syrup!
I switched to Oak Allley Plantation Mint Syrup for our annual Derby party and 20 people agree that this is the best syrup for Mint Juleps that I have ever served...and believe me I have served a lot of them! In a Kentucky Derby glass filled with shaved ice, I added 1 and 1/2 ounces of Oak Alley Mint Syrup together with two ounces of water and two ounces of 90 proof bourbon for the best Mint Julep ever!

Quality and overall price.
Amazing product! We used to drink mint juleps all the time when we lived in Louisiana. Oak alley was one of our favorite places to visit and to bring guests. We highly recommend this product to anyone wishing to have a similar experience.

The BEST mint syrup...FINALLY!
Been searching for a sweet mint syrup to make mint iced tea. In most syrups I've tried the mint is far too strong and concentrated, like an Altoid. Trusted a fellow customer's review about this syrup...and I am so very glad I did! Just the right taste to put in my sweet tea, a perfectly refreshing - and my favorite - drink for summer! Just wish I could find it in a store where I live. The expensive shipping charge ($10 for a product that only costs $7.99) is the only reason I didn't give this product five stars.

Disappointed with the ingredients
Visited Oak Alley last April. Really enjoyed the mint julep’s. Was excited to order a bottle of the syrup. I was able to re-create the cocktail, but was a little disappointed when I saw the ingredients. It’s high fructose, corn syrup, and a bunch of phony colors. Mint is not even listed.

This is the very best mint syrup ever!
I was lucky enough to visit Oak Alley last Spring. I enjoyed a lemon mint julep. I tried for the better part of a yeat to duplicate the taste. It was impossible without the syrup. Most mint syrups taste like mouth wash, very overpowering. This syrup is light and sweet, the perfect compliment to the lemon and the bourbon. Absolutely delicious! Kentucky Derby this weekend and I have the drinks covered!

mint juleps made easy
My brother got me hooked on mint juleps last summer. When it is miserably hot they are so refreshing. I use one part mint syrup to two parts Maker's Mark. This mint syrup makes it so easy. My only complaint is the caps on the bottles are pretty flimsy and were broken and leaking when they arrived. However, they replaced them right away without any problems.

mint julips
The syrup I got from Oak Alley Plantation for making my own mint julips was so helpful in recreating the drink I had while at Oak Alley Plantation in Vacherie, LA drinking a mint julip on the verranda of the plantation...it made it taste as good as theirs was. It came tightly packed so as not to break and I always feel like I am back there on the verranda when I have a mint julip.
