Tarascon General Surgery Pocketbook 1st Edition

I'm giving it 3 stars for the lack of pictures and diagrams, but honestly this book is a great alternative to the more expensive general surgery pocket resources. I am a fourth year med student pursuing surgery and this book has some really good info. It's a little difficult to navigate and the text is small, but the info is solid. I got it for around $20 and I've been happy with it

I just finished my M3 surgery rotation. This book was very helpful to read (along with Surg Recall) prior to surgery. It helped with the anatomy, indications, etc. for the procedure. Would recommend for any m3 or m4 interested in gen Surg.

The pocket bible for surgery! Great for those call nights or any time to look up something you're unsure about. Small enough to easily fit into a white coat pocket!

Excellent size for carrying in the pocket if looking for a quick study guide. Outline format. Many quick facts.

Helpful for surgery rotation as a third-year medical student

Not as in-depth as some of Tarascon's other offerings. I recommend Surgical Recall over this title. Ok in a pinch.

Very nice pocket book. I didn't buy it for me, but for a surgeon friend of mine who started the residency this January. Since i was on rotation 2 months with her, I realized how good and handy the book was.It's very well organized and it helps one to gather the necessary judgment in the ward.It's a must.i recommend it and will consider other tarascon pockets as well.
