Excellent
This little sketch book is well worth buying. It holds up to paint well even water color but don't use to much water 😁 it's the best size for traveling just drop it in my bag and go. I'm a real consumer not a fake lol.

Great multi media sketchbook

Holds up to reasonable mark making.
The sketchbook is a square, 4/34" inches on all sides. It's comfortable in the hand, with nice quality binding, and easy to carry. The substantial, but not heavy, paper tolerates watercolor, at least a light wash, and possibly heavier work, but you will see some puckering on the reverse side of the page, but no bleeding through.

I really like the size of this sketchbook/journal. The binding is sewn, so it opens up flat. Yes, the paper buckles a little, but I knew that when I purchased it---not a big problem for me. The paper has a cream, off white hue---very nice.

Love these Talens sketchbooks.
I have many of these sketchbooks in several sizes. I carry at least one with me at all times. I have used them with a variety of different mediums including graphite, colored pencil, pen and ink, gouache, and watercolor. All these mediums worked great. I am conservative with water for the watercolor so I have not had any trouble with the paper buckling. I like the cream color of the paper and like the fact that the first page and the cover lining are the same size I can use them to start my book with a spread on both pages.

quality portable sketchbook
My teenage daughter loves this sketchbook. It is just the right size to stick in her purse and pull out whenever she has time to sketch. The construction is solid and there is a ribbon to mark her place.
