Loving it!
I have to confess that I was planning on keeping my Cuisinart forever, and just replacing the plastic parts as they broke. I was totally sure that no other food processor could be as good as it.... and I was totally wrong. A plastic safety feature broke off 2 days before Thanksgiving and I panicked because I couldn't find anyplace to get a new part in time. So I spent an hour or so reading reviews for other food processors and chose this one. I bought it from Amazon because they could deliver it the next day, whereas the closest store I could pick one up was 6 hours away. I am telling you this so you understand that this was a desperation purchase. But I could NOT be happier. The first thing I noticed was that the turning mechanism was NOT part of the base, so there was no hole in the bottom of the plastic bowl like I was used to. This means that when I turn it on, that initial surge wouldn't make stuff drip out of that center hole and get all over the food processor. It also means that if you want to soak it when you are done, the water won't be pouring out of that hole - you can fill the bowl totally up with water. The lid has a gasket so if you overfill the bowl, it all stays inside when you turn it on. The chute is SOOO nice - no more of the funky extra piece that my Cuisinart had that makes it VERY difficult to clean when you are done. When you use the disk, it is low enough that any vibrations are NOT going to reduce the life span of the bowl, but high enough for you to put a reasonable amount of stuff inside before needing to remove some to add more. When I made a smoothie with frozen strawberries, the machine did it absolutely effortlessly. The chopping blade is amazing - the amount of time it takes for this gadget to chop everything into beautiful tiny pieces is miniscule - I was still putting stuff in the top when I noticed how well everything was already chopped. It has suction cups on the bottom to hold it in place, which is also VERY nice, since my Cuisinart liked to take a tour of my countertops. All 3 accessories fit inside the food processor for storage (I don't know if the dough one would fit in there as well, but I will never use that). There are just a few things that I would like to see improved. The main one is that when you are done, all the lights start flashing. If you have sensory issues like I do, you may want to think twice before buying this - it make my heart start racing and I can't turn the thing off fast enough! I would like the chute to be wide enough that I could put a whole cucumber in it to be sliced. I would REALLY like another disk that could make thicker slices, and I totally understand that it wouldn't fit inside for storage. And it is going to take some time to get used to the pusher. It fits in the chute SO well, that when I first opened up the box, I thought it wasn't included - only to later realize that it was already on the pusher. And I am still having that trouble 2 weeks later - not realizing that it is there until I put something in the chute and nothing comes out - LOL. My Cuisinart's pusher was white plastic, so it was obvious, unlike this one that is made of the same material as the rest of it. But in general, I am very happy with my purchase and would highly recommend it. Oh - and one more thing. The bowl is higher than I am used to, and I was having trouble getting all the tiny garlic pieces off the sides of it. What I did was fill the bowl with water and dump it into a strainer. Ta da - the bottom of the strainer was full of the garlic, which I could easily put into my wok!

love it!
I use food processor many year, try many brand. This Ninja one is very strong, chop fast and no get stuck. 1000 watts power is real, you feel it when use. I make dough, chop onion, slice carrot, even puree soup — all work perfect.Bowl is big, 9 cup, good size for family cooking. Blade is sharp and strong, cut smooth. Come with 3 blade and food pusher, all easy to clean. I wash by hand, but can go dishwasher too.Make dough easy, mix fast and not noisy like other machine. Also safety lock is good, no run if not close right.Only thing, it little big on counter, but for power and what it do, I don’t mind. If you cook lot like me, this is best one to buy. Ninja never disappoint me.

This thing is a BEAST!
First off... Please be careful when cleaning the slicing disc. I was washing with a soapy paper towel and I was being gentle and careful and the blade was adjusted to the smallest setting, which is nearly even with the disc surface, and I cut my finger. I went and got a bandage and returned and did the same thing to another finger and I thought I was being diligent. I would suggest using the dishwasher to clean it... but still be careful handling it while putting it in and taking it out. That being said, this thing is so well thought out. There is a gasket on the lid which helps with a good deal for t liquid s. There is a button that pops up and locks the lid into place and keeps it secure. You have to push it to release the locked lid. There are substantial suction cups as feet that keep this thing securely on the counter while working with it.Last night was the first time I used it after buying it about 2 months ago. I was making French onion soup and needed to slice 18 onions. I cut the onions down with a knife to make each wedge a size that would fit through the feeder shoot. All I had to do with almost all of them was just drop it in. That blade spun so fast and it I swear it sliced each wedge in less than 2 second. Like I was putting it through a wood chipper! I wish I had done a video so I could show how impressively fast it was. When the bowl met its capacity, the unit turned off. I think there must be something that triggers it to stop when the items in the main container push the disc up slightly. It never over filled. It always turned off immediately when reaching the disc.Even though this is made of plastic material, it is heavy duty. It looks like glass. It is much nicer quality than the one I had replaced it with. That ones plastic parts broke off of and made it inoperable. The Ninja works so incredibly well. It cuts prep time of slicing and shredding something down to nothing. I spent more time preparing the onions to be sliced. It's noise level is minimal. The thing has a higher pitch sound than the one I used to have. I believe the rate it spins at is so much faster than anything you can buy for home use. I feel like I'm using an industrial processor. As I said Very Impressive!
