Good quality
Decent quality, but by the next size up from what you think you need. Just a wee bit tight.

Fit, Not Frills: Dickie's Coveralls are a Basic Too Far
Flash-sum: Dickie's Short Sleeve Coveralls fit fast and cheap, but like the title says: don't have belt loops, big enough pockets, or pass-through slits which you should expect for the asking price.I ordered from the Amazon sizing chart. The coveralls arrived fast and fit me right out of the package. Didn't shrink or fade on the first wash. Fabric feels comfortable--not too cool in my open garage and not too hot in the cozy office. Aside from the double-zipper which opens the coveralls at either the throat or the waist, there are snap buttons to secure the breech. This pair fits right over my Carhartt Relaxed Fit Straight Leg jeans, and over the tourist t-shirts my father gives me for Christmas every year. Likewise when I'm down to just skivvies underneath, the coveralls do not sag or appear baggy. There's an elastic bit on the hips which seems to help seat them as girth changes. Great that I can wear the coveralls over my shop clothes, but that also highlights a pretty major flaw. There are no belt loops. Don't know about you folks, but I sling tools off my hip when wearing duds like these. Even if that means a big dumb wrap-around Sam Browne-style belt, I would still wear an underbelt with keepers--just like a cop's duty gear--to stop it from dropping around my ankles. I really cannot imagine the idea of any coverall other than a disposable plastic goober shield not having belt loops. You can see the lapse right in the product picture; a bit less apparent are the shallow and small storage. I stick brushes and pliers in my pockets, friends and neighbors, and I'll bet you do too. Even for a basic coverall made in Mexico, I should be able to tuck my 3 x 5 shop notebook in my breast along with a pen. No go for this model, and frankly that's another error that doesn't compute.Counterpoint: these coveralls are meant to be worn over regular pants, so stick yer belt and pens in there! If that is the case, then these coveralls need to have a pass-through slit behind the hip pockets so you can get at your stuff. No pass-though. Just open the zipper above your waist and begin fumbling through. As a comparison, my US Navy coveralls, then manufactured by American Apparel, were priced in the same range as Dickie's with loops aplenty and wide chest pockets to hold our notebooks and pens, and nice deep hip pockets to tuck in a Maglite. Looking on Amazon, there does not currently appear to be any coverall offered which approaches the desired features. So for folks who don't mind paying out thirty bucks to keep the paint off your elbows and knees, these Dickies are a reliable fit. They wash well and wear well and for many of you that will be enough. I need to see more features for the cash I spend, so personally I'll be checking around for something that includes what I want.
