This is a direct replacement for our faulty Apple speakers. After 7 years of day to day use the left speaker failed. I replaced both speakers and battery during the same time. Make sure when disconnecting the speaker connecting a to lift them up, not sliding out! I almost broke our connections, whoops. The new speakers are good, but not the same audio quality as our original Apple speakers. For the price that you pay you should not complain, therefor the 5star. Overall very satisfied with the purchase and would recommend these if your current speakers are blown. Let’s hope these will last.

This is a 2 speaker unit, however it seems like sound is only coming out of the tweeter (if you can call it that?). I only replaced one of my speakers as the other was still functional, and there is a clear difference in sound quality between the OEM speaker on the right and the replacement speaker on the left.

I was pleasantly supprised with how easy it was to replace my original speakers, which had a crackling sound, with these. they worked as soon as I plugged them in and needed no software or any settings adjustment. The quality of sound is good, but does not go as loud as the originals used to.

Sound quality is not the best but it’s enough for me, I don’t need to play a concert with my laptop. Easy installation and really cheap

My wife's left speaker blew. You can test this by going into Settings and moving the balance from left to right. It should also work with headphones. Her's was bad. I thought I was only ordering the left, but both sides came. It requires a TORX screwdriver to remove the cover. You can get a kit from (something like) Tzenzau for under $20. They are kind of crap, but they got the job done before they stripped. Still may be good for something in the futures. Back to the speaker. Watch YouTube for the instructions on how to do this. It was very informative. WRITE DOWN WHAT YOU DO STEP BY STEP. It will help you put things back together. Good luck.

I tried 2 of these (left speaker) on my MacBook Pro 13" using Amazon Returns after #1 didn't work. Both had the same problem me:- Only the tweeter (not the bass) speaker worked,- That was at very low volume.I suspect that the connector wiring is systematically defective. Next step: try a different brand.

Buena opción para reemplazar los altavoces a tu MacBook Pro, solo que note que el conector queda algo flojo y se desconecta, me pasaos instalarlas y no se escuchaba, al principio dude y pensé que los altavoces no funcionaban, volví a desarmar y note que estaban desconectados, me apoye con cinta y/o silicon frio para que quedaran fijas.En cuanto al sonido es regular, por su precio no esperaba mas, cumplen su función.buen producto para revivir la antigua Mac

El precio es bajo pero la calidad del sonido tambien es baja.

Nowhere close to the originals when new, the sound is rather on the quiet side, but they fit well and work well enough for the price.

Yeah, just as what the title says. Just boost up the volume using 3rd party apps for Mac and it should help ya out.

Sound very tinny. Not worth the money.
