love! makes great coffee and simple classic construction
I purchased this to replace a vintage Corningware stovetop perc, which was having handle issues (and part of the 70's recall I found out!). I love the taste of percolator coffee and have had many electric perc's over the years. But they inevitably have an electrical failure after 100's of pots of coffee. Going back to a stovetop option has been great. I use it on natural gas, medium heat to get it perc'ing and then turn down to low (very low) and let it perc for about 8 min. The coffee is wonderful for taste, hot and stays warm/hot for about 45 min in the carafe after I've turned off the heat. Even inexpensive coffee tastes good from a percolator! I haven't had any problems with hardware malfunction because of the simple design and parts. I hand wash it daily and run it through the dish washer about once a week. Cleans up great whether by hand or washer. A couple tips for anyone new to percolator, dip the basket in water before adding grounds. The wet basket forms a barrier and grounds won't filter through. Also once it finishes perc'ing, after you turn off the heat, let it drip for a few min and then remove the basket assembly. Reduces the potential of grounds getting in your cup.

Over all a good product.
I like that it's a clear glass pot, so I can see my coffee. The drawback is the size. It's good for one or two people. It holds 2.5 mugs of coffee...Maybe 4 regular sized coffee cups. It's well balanced and pours well. Since I live by myself it's a good size. But for a family, it's pretty small.

I like the coffee because it is hot
I couldn't get it to brew a small pot (3 cups). The water boiled but never made it up the stem to drip over the grounds. Worked OK when we brew 6 cups or more. The lid for the coffee basket stopped the water from reaching the grounds even after I enlarged a few of the holes. We leave it off but I'm not sure we're getting an even distribution of water over coffee.I like the coffee because it is hot. My husband won't use it because it takes a good 15 minute to get a cup of coffee.

Best Cup of Coffee
I love this coffee pot! It's easy to use and easy to clean. I use coffee filters with it but you don't have to. I think this produces the best coffee!

Glass percolator
The pot itself nice, but lid does not fit securely and will come off while pouring. The internal parts are light plastic and flimsy. Grounds come out while coffee perks. I would not recommend this product. Better off buying the old Pyrex coffee pot which internal parts are glass and metal with secure lid.
