US Machine Through and Through
I'm a US Citizen and I missed the US style washer and dryers after using a european/asian style washer and dryer combo for the past 5 years. Due to space restrictions (i.e. I couldn't fit two standalone units in the intended laundry room area of my villa) , I believed this would be the best solution. In summary, I love the unit and it is amazing, and my wife (non-US citizen) also loves the machine. It handles significantly larger loads of laundry and you can run both functions at the same time. The cycle times are also faster. I would highly recommend this product. Now, something that needs to be known by the purchaser, I would recommend that you get the installation service if you are either not handy or not in the mood to solve the following potential issues. 1.) You will need to make your own plug or electrical connection to your house's electrical system. I made my own plug using an extension cord and cutting off the socket end. The machine requires terminal ends to connect and I had to buy the supplies on Amazon. So I used the exposed ends to make the terminal connection points. If you are able to install lighting fixtures in your house, ceiling fans, etc. you shouldn't have an issues with this although you might need some supplies (electrical terminal ends) and tools (crimper) 2.) The machine is intended to be used with a hot and cold water connection. If you have two water sources in your laundry area, this isn't going to be an issue. Just a heads up that the water connection points to the machine are 3/4 inch and you may need adapters if your house has 1/2 inch connection points. If you have one water connection point like I did, you will need a "Y" piece to connect both water hoses. If you have one water connection this will impact the temperature options that you can use on the machine (i.e. either Hot or Cold). We can turn off our water heater to get "cold" water, but it isn't really cold because it is the room temperature water here in the UAE which is quite warm. We don't really fuss with it much and just use warm water for all washes. 3.) The machine is designed to be used in US households which usually come standard with laundry exhaust connection points. Our villa in Abu Dhabi does not have an exhaust connection point directly to the outside of the house and our laundry room is located in middle of the villa which means we can't create one directly to the outside of the house. I was able to identify exhaust connection points in the house (think exhaust fans in the kitchen and bathrooms, etc.) in the rafters and void spaces in the house which I was able to connect to the machine. Just a heads up that the owner's manual tells you specifically not to do this. I didn't have another option and was past the point of wanting to return the machine. You could exhaust it into the ceiling voids, but I don't think this is the best option since you will have lint everywhere. The connection to the house exhaust system required me to buy 4 inch expandable ducting and connectors which I also purchased on Amazon. I bought one metal 90 degree duct piece which I installed in the ceiling tile (cut the ceiling tile to fit it in) and two expandable duct pieces. One from the machine to the 90 degree duct piece, and one from the 90 degree duct piece to the exhaust connection point (completely in the ceiling void). It works nicely and I haven't experienced any adverse effects yet (talking about the owners manual stating not to do this). At first I was disappointed in myself for not getting the installation, but after seeing how complex it was to get this thing installed, I decided I was happier that I did myself because I didn't want it rigged up by some installer as quickly and as easily as possible. These are things I wish I would have known before buying the unit, but I have zero regrets buying the machine and I'm very happy with the purchase, and I hope this helps with your purchasing decision.

Not good
Very noisy. Sounds like a helicopter. No control for water temperature either
