Oh! This is Amazing
I needed this because I was having low back surgery and didn’t want to have to depend on anyone to help me in the bathroom. Call it pride or whatever and I bought it as the less embarrassing option. I know that people rave about these things but I always thought it was strange. How wrong was I? Easy install. Everything I needed was included for install. I love the remote instead of an attached control. This thing works great and really does a phenomenal job of cleaning which I had doubted before. It let me keep my privacy and independence and I have become a fan. Now I can’t imagine not having and using this. It costs a little more than some others but I figured if you’re going to buy one to attach to an existing toilet, invest a little more and get quality. In the end, my end is happy.

Toto C5 Washlet Bidet
I had family members encouraging me to try bidets, so after years of ignoring their suggestions, I finally relented and bought one. I had never tried a bidet before, but I was pretty sure that I didn't want a basic one without bells and whistles, so I settled on the Toto C5. Installation was incredibly simple, with everything needed included in the kit. The biggest issue was getting an outlet close enough to plug in the bidet, which was ultimately also a relatively simple solution by snaking an extension cord under the vanity. I chose the C5 with its hand-held remote over the C2 which has a control panel affixed to the right side of the bidet. Good choice, as it seems to be much easier to access the functions without having to twist to find the right buttons to push on the C2 panel. The features of the bidet are functional and thoughtful. The features are well described in the product information, so no point in repeating them here, other than to say that they all function as described. Since I had never used a basic cold water, non electric bidet, I can't compare the C5 against anything else, other to say that I can't imagine using anything less than the one that I purchased. The heated seat, warm water, and warm air drying are amazing, and the deodorizing & self cleaning appear to work well. If you prefer to not have heated seat and water available 24X7, it also has an Auto Energy Saving mode, which detects periods of infrequent use. This also seems to work well in my first few weeks of use. The warm water reservoir provides heated water for about 60 seconds, then gradually gets cooler. For me, this is sufficient, as it heats up again fairly quickly if needed. The more expensive K300 model provides unlimited hot water if that is a requirement. The Toto C5 has made me a convert to bidets, and I really have no desire to use a standard toilet seat again unless there is no choice.

Wow! Don't let the 40+ page instruction book put you off
My gastroenterologist's office had a "Suprise!" bidet. Very nice after I recovered from the initial shock. Then my girlfriend recommended this model to me. We began to remodel the ground floor in our home of 30+ years as we looked toward single floor living. We put in an accessible vanity and shower in the new, enlarged bathroom. And I added this bidet to add some privacy to toileting even when our strength and/or mobility becomes limited. But really - get it cause it just cleans all that crinkly skin soooo much better than dry toilet paper...and it's fun!!

Luxury bidet
This is an upgrade from a non-electric bidet. TLDR: a huge upgrade in terms of comfort and performance. Obviously, it costs a lot more than the one it replaced.Installation - I am comfortable doing around-the-house project work. I consider this to be a pretty easy installation. I had no leaks and it worked fine the first time I installed it. The only minor issue I ran into was the location of the "snap on" latch (the seat slides into it). The manual was confusing. I figured it out, but still not sure what they described.Features: heated seat, pre-mist the bowl, heated water, air dryer, different settings for the water wand.-The heated seat will be a personal preference. Our bathroom is not really cold in the winter, but it is nice to sit down and have a warm seat. There are three levels of heat - lowest is my favorite, the highest value is quite warm.-Pre-mist. It basically sprays part of the inside of the toilet before someone uses it. The idea is that, uh, less stuff will stick and should be less messy. Seems to work.-Heated water. My old bidet just used the cold water. Our water is cold - especially in the winter. It was not pleasant getting sprayed by freezing water. The heated water is great! However, the tank seems to not hold much water. After a minute, I notice the water is no longer as warm as it used to be. This model has a limited tank size. This is disappointing - would expect enough water for at least 2 minutes.-Air dryer. Another nice feature. Instead of using toilet paper to dry off, use the air dryer. It has three levels of heat. The air output is not super powerful. To dry your rear, I would guess it make take about 2 minutes of air to do the job. It would be nice if it had a bit more power. Heat levels are good - you will not be burning your back (or front).-Water pressure. This was designed well. You can go with a limited amount of pressure up to a higher pressure. Even at the highest, it is not uncomfortable. My old bidet could actually cause an injury at full blast!-Wand length. One other nice setting is the ability to adjust how far out the wand sticks. You can adjust until it finds the right spot. This should allow people to adjust it to their personal body layout.-Oscillating wand. When the device is spraying, it moves back and forth to do a much better job of cleaning you. It cuts down on what I called the "bidet scoot" - this is where you move your body to make sure the water hits the right spots. You still need to do a little bit of this action, but much less.-Remote. I think the remote is confusing at first. You figure it out, but some of the icons are not very clear. The back of the remote is difficult to use - you will need the manual to make full use of it. However, I think once you set things up on the back, you most likely will not need to change settings.-Seat heat. This might not really be a feature, but the set is about a half inch taller than my old toilet seat. My knees love the added height!-Odor filter. A fan pulls in air from the inside of the bowl and passes it over a filter. It is supposed to reduce odor. It does not have any type of fragrance/perfume. I am not sure how well this works.Summary: this bidet is expensive compared to some of the non-electric bidets (and more than other electric bidets for that). You have to decide if the comfort and benefits are worth it. Had I known about the limited amount of hot water, I would have spent extra to get one that has unlimited heated water. My review is 4/5 based on that.

Works great. Easy install. Many great features. Only missing automated lid opening.
It is easy to install (if you have an open outlet within 2 feet of the toilet). It has lots of great functions and programmability. I felt the price was very reasonable. We've been using it for a week now.My only regret is that this version does not have an automated lid opening feature - I wish I had bought a version that has that feature.

The best way to finish
Why did you pick this product vs others?:I have used this Toto toilet seat previously. My son was in Asia and was impressed with the commitment through out the region to clean toilet seats. He says everywhere he went had paperless toilets. People are happier because they are cleaner behind.
