6.5" Tymphany/Peerless 830657 Paper Cone SDS 60W Woofer- Case of Twelve (12)

Seem to be good quality, but would require a Subwoofer since f3 in sealed is around 75hz

Exceeded my expectations for the price but on par with the brand which makes them. What a great value for those of us who build multiple driver units. I don't know what these people are thinking who write the poor reviews other than not understanding speaker design. These are not low effeciency free air car speakers and unless you plan on wiring two of them in parellel to drop the impedance to 3.? Ohms then you will likely not get the best power from an automobile amplifier. These are mid-fi mid-bass speakers from a great company at a buyout liquidation price. A no brainer for a builder such as myself. Get them while you can because when they are gone the price will go up for lesser quantities. These are superior to anything else in the budget price range and the quality is a knockout. Under spider venting reduces power compression and cone rocking. If used in multiples in a proper cabinet with a quality crossover and some good tweets should produce shocking results for the investment. These are so good I am buying more and may use them for PA use because they are very natural sounding. Blocking everything from 100hz down and 8 per cab should handle over 250 watts cleanly and put out enough sound to keep up with the lower effeciency compression horns or pad them down a hair. This will make excellent side fill monitors for small clubs and outdoor events when combined with bass bins. Larger cone area creating a narrower sweet spot is an advantage in this application compared to 4" or 3.5" drivers and can handle much more power and play lower into the vocal range. Just a thought. What a deal....
