My MD prescribed this for me. I have interstitial cystitis and was also having recurring urinary tract infections... we're talking every 30-45 days. I was in a great deal of pain. Cranberry supplements are not an option for me due to the IC. D-Mannose has helped a lot. I started with taking 1 gram three times a day for two months. Have now reduced to two times per day and hope that works. I like Protocol for Life Balance products. Their great quality and competitively priced.

I'm keeping this on hand because when it comes to UTI's, this stuff works. I found online directions to take D-Mannose powder during a UTI for 3 to 5 days, 1/2 of a teaspoon every 3 hours although 3 times a day was enough for me for 5 days. I just put it in a little water and drank it right up. Basically tastes like water with a tiny bit of sugar added.Back to buy more of this stuff. I see other brands out there but I KNOW this stuff works.

This was recommended to me to take instead of pills. Absolutely no taste and dissolves instantly in water. I’ve been using it for over a month now on a daily basis as a preventative measure and am impressed.

VERY HELPFUL W/ THE PASSING OF A KIDNEY STONE! Be careful not to use to soon! Wait until you know the stone is as close to the bladder as possible. After the stone enters the bladder, you'll know! The pain stops. At this point, when you urinate, make sure to wait as long as you can to ensure plenty of pressure to push the stone through.

I have been very pleased with this product. I suffer from recurrent and difficult to treat UTI's and I use this for prevention. When I feel like I might be starting to get another infection, I start taking them and the irritation goes away.
