These headphones have the standard 3.5mm setup with an extender which breaks out into the mic and stereo plugs.The quality of the speakers and microphone are great, and through extended use have no complaints for either of them.The only negative I can say about these headphones is that over time the black soft material lining the outside of the ear cups has degraded, leaving residue on my ears and neck. Now, this doesn't affect how they function at all, but it can cause a stir when you leave the PC with black flecks on you.Otherwise, awesome product.

i decided it was probably time to invest in a new pair of headphones and i was glad i went with these, great value for the price.. sounds incredible. i think the average person would be more than satisfied with the quality. ill do a updated review if i run into any problems.. or just to report how they hold up in about a couple of months or so..UPDATE: 11/13/14The headphones are holding up really well, its safe to say if you treat these right they should last you a very long time! so in that sense its a really great value at the price.. however they are very big and can be hassle to transport on your daily commute and dont really fit into many of my bags and backpacks also these could be uncomfortable when wearing if you wear glasses.. other than that i still love these headphones very much.

This headset was purchased as I needed an amplified headset for some applications on my Android. It meets that need. The audio quality is appropriate to a $40 headset. The comfort is quite good. The passive noise canceling of the ear cushions is marginal, to acceptable, though that is not a part of the product description. If you want the audio quality, noise canceling and comfort of a Bose headset, pay over seven times more and enjoy that headset. If you need a basic amplified headset this set should work just fine.David

Great over the ear, heavier than I thought, but you get use to them. Need instructions for the extra cord though. Wish you didn't need to press a button for the mic, but I knew that when I bought them. Great HD quality sound.

Perform as designed. I want to rate these lower as they don't meet my expectations. But that is on me as I got confused with the order and ordered the wrong headsets. However, I never returned these as I have been happy with the quality.I thought these were on the ear headphones. They are more comfortable, but let too much train noise in. Perfect for home use. Microphone works great.

I bought these during an Amazon spring clearance sale and it was one of the best calls I've ever made. They went for somewhere around $150 at the time and I got them for just under $40, so that was pretty great. They are EXTREMELY comfortable and the quality is actually quite nice. If you're gaming, just hanging out and need a decent set of headphones, or even recording these work amazingly well.

They sound ok, bass response is not very good. I've owned multiple versions of their headphones, these sound the worst.

The sound was amazing but it hurts around your ears after you've listened to them a while. Such good sound I hate that they made my head sore.
