Rock & Roll Hoochie Koo: Radio Broadcast 1975

I remember Eddie and the band playing in high school and backyard parties and at the clubs in Los Amgeles.........

I'd give it lower stars if I could...sometimes these live radio broadcasts are hit, sometimes they're miss....this is a miss by a mile. I can only say that the sound quality is less than what I've heard on similar "live radio shows" by other bands from the same era also sold on Amazon - it sounds out of phase on some songs - and they playing, while not bad, doesn't make up for it (in my opinion). The covers are unspectacular and the original material sounds like undeveloped material by a band in transition. Don't waste your time more than reading what I just wrote.

The music on this has been circulated on different bootlegs. Mostcof it comes from '77+Live. The interview is Dave saying how he lost his key. You can here all these songs on you tube. All in all I give it 3 stars cuz it has a pretty cool cover.

Die Mütze sieht nicht nur witzig aus, sie passt wie angegossen, kratzt nicht, verrutscht nicht und hält auch Ohren und Nacken wunderbar warm. Da hat mir der Weihnachtsmann aber was Feines gebracht. Jetzt will mein Frauchen auch genau so eine.

Il cd è molto interessante , la qualità sonora risente dell'epoca. Brani risalenti al periodo precedente al primo disco , più delle covers, quando suonavano nei clubs. Un Eddie Van Halen ancora acerbo ma sempre grande

vale la pena por las rarezas que contiene, pero un poco pobre el envoltorio y excesivo su precio (seguro que un par de semanas baja a la mitad); la carátula ni encaja por pequeña en el cd, soporte de calidad china pero con muy buen sonido; por eso insisto, sólo para fans y coleccionistas.

I don't normally write Amazon reviews, because I don't like the star ratings equating to "I hate it", "I don't like it" etc ..... just because something might not be great, doesn't necessarily mean that I hate it!But, I made an exception for this as it's such poor quality. It sounds like it's been recorded directly off a poor AM radio with a poor quality microphone using a poor reel-to-reel tape recorder where the tape has been allowed to degrade for 40 years and then magically "remastered" to become a poor quality CD.So don't buy this if you actually want to play it more than once ... as a one-off listen for a record of how Van Halen played in the early days though it does bring value to a collection. I thought it was interesting to hear some of the arrangements on songs like Women In Love and I'm The One and how they eventually became the tracks on later albums.Other than that I wouldn't recommend it - but I don't *hate it*.
