A very decent Parmesan at an affordable price.

This product tasted off. There is real parm, and then there is this. It honestly tasted a bit woody. I was trying to find something that would go good for sprinkling on hot spaghetti and then melting. It failed to melt.I ended up dumping a bunch out, and seeing if it would melt in two tests. I got mixed results. 45 seconds in the microwave with a pile of this on a plate resulted in a small melted burn, but just warmed cheese around the burn. Which is odd, because normally cheese melts in the microwave. It might have just been my microwave though, because when I attempted to melt it on the stove, it DID melt, albeit it required some water and more heat than a bowl of spaghetti can apply.But I then tested it against a block of parm I bought from walmart, and that did melt in the microwave. But the block of parm also didn't melt on the spaghetti, and so I was left feeling very unsatisfied with both sources of parm. At the end of the day I just melted it all down on the stove with a bit of milk, and placed the gooey mess on my spaghetti and called it good.Idk. This I would rate a 3/10 maybe a 4/10. Its meltiness was unsatisfactory, and it did taste slightly off. Bland. Woody. I would buy it again but only for sprinkling on salads or things that don't need melted cheese goodness, or a strong parm flavor.

What can I say - it is Kraft parmesan. Good to have on hand when you don't have fresh. I accidentally bought the giant size, but it will get used.

Great to have for a family dinner. Easy to put in a serving dish or just put it directly on the table.
