Such a success. Cat loves it. She knew immediately it was for her, the way they do. The cover comes off for easy washing. I'm pretty impressed, and the price was great. It looks ok, simple, white, bobbly fur- not super luxurious, but soft and fleecy and the cat likes it a lot. I was glad to know she was being kept a bit warmer on cold winter nights because the electrically heated blanket we got her was overkill - she got too hot- and it also colour transferred on my furniture! This is so much simpler and better- it was just what we needed.

I purchased these self heating sleeping mats for my cats but especially for my male cat as he suffers with his back legs so I was hoping this would help him with a little bit extra warmth but sadly neither of my cats will even stand on the mats let alone sleep on them.I have tried all types of pet beds for both my cats but the only thing they will actually sleep in is a cardboard box, my female cat prefers a larger box but my male prefers a really small box, I have even tried putting these mats in their respective boxes but now they just refuse to get in their box, so I think I will give them to my son so he can see if any of his cats will enjoy them.On the plus side of these sleep mats, they are a good size and as they arrived folded in half they will fit most size cats and up to a medium size dog I would think. They also come in removable covers which will make them easy to keep clean. I had read a couple of the reviews that the sound these beds make when the cat gets on them can put the cat off from getting on them to start with but I did not get to witness if this was the case as my cats did not even put on a single foot on them. I do honestly think I have the silliest of cats, I purchased a heated fleece blanket to help keep me warm in the winter months and did think my cats would enjoy sleeping on that when I have it on - nope - they will not even get on that, so I guess I just have a mother and son cat that are just numpties 😂The reason I have given a 4* rating is because I think these sleep mats are fantastic value, the quality and thickness is ideal especially if you want to place the mats inside a cat bed or box, sadly I cannot say if they actually do function as intended but the sheepskin type cover will give a certain amount of heat when it is laid on, so the 2 sleep mats I have will go to my sons cats and I hope they will use them.

We have a semi wild cat that we feed and have bought a couple of cat houses she stays in. Apparently she was badly treated and lived wild for about 20 years. She now lives in our poly tunnel and we feed her three times a day. She also has a chair she sits and sleeps on. The chair and both cat houses have one or two of the self heater pads on or in. She loves them and is enjoying her retirement. She is 23 years old and enjoying her life.

Most first important thing to say is that my cat is very happy with the shopping. However, this product is far too delicate to be washed in the washing machine once a week. Pet bedding clothing including towels...need to be washed at high temperatures for hygienic purposes and good disinfection. But that won't be possible to do with this thermal blanket. This, of course doesn't mean to disregard this product from one shopping list.
