Simple way to make Chicha Morada.
We enjoyed making this! We even shared it at school and it was well received. We made about 2 liters with the contents of this whole package. It's a simple way to make Chicha Morada that's close to the traditional process without having to source each individual ingredient.

THE FLAVOR OMG!!! so much memories...
Well, what should I say about this? honestly I feel like the bad reviews are because they don't know how to prepare this because there is no possible way they say this doesn't taste good like...what?? are you sure you are preparing this the right way???. The flavor is amazing literally the best chicha morada I had tried before since I moved to the usa. I'm Bolivian but we still share part of Peruvians culture [we do drink chicha morada as well] and I can't be happier to drink this amazing chicha. THIS IS LIKE MY 4TH TIME ORDERING THIS. <3 loveeee itt.

Very good, but…
The “instructions” on the package are just icons. 1 package, 2 pitchers, etc. no indication of how much water is in a pitcher. The company’s website clarified: 1 pitcher = 1 liter. I wouldn’t have guessed. No indication of temperature for cooking. Also no indication about straining the results.Eventually this tasted as good as what I had in a Peruvian restaurant!

This is a great product! Tastes just like how we find it in Peru, I add monk fruit and lime at the end - yum!

We liked it, hey Mikey(tm)
I don't have any experience with this and I'm rather picky about things that claim to be authentic, so I waited until my sister in law was here visiting. She happens to be born and raised in Peru so I thought she might enjoy this. She says it's never been thought of as an "herbal dietary supplement" but it's definitely a common drink. I've never thought of pineapples as herbs either, so I suspect that while the product seems genuine, the seller is also trying to ride the trendy health crazy wave, too.Apparently this is available in mixes that are a lot easier to make but this type of thing would be good for purists. I don't find it refreshing, exactly. It seems rather heavy to me. It's still quite tasty, though, sort of like mulled cider type drink. So, it passes the authenticity test.Don't forget to use the Smile.Amazon.com address - It's an Amazon program where many everyday things you buy will generate a small donation from Amazon to the charity of your choice at no cost to you. Beautiful Purple Hued Peruvian Drink Has Spicy Flavor
This is an easy way to make chicha morada—ingredients are simple but tasty. Directions are on the package: add contents to 2 liters of water; boil gently for 15-20 minutes, strain and cool. I like that there is nothing but purple corn, dried pineapple, clove and cinnamon in this—other additions (sugar, apples, lime, alcohol, etc) can be included according to personal taste. The bag is fresh and pungent when opened, and heating the ingredients on the stove makes the entire house smell good. Easy to make...even easier to drink!
