Meaning they are further broken down than ones that are not methylated and will be more readily available for your body's use. This is important if you have snps or mutations that make it more difficult for your body to break these substances down for your body's use. Perhaps you have had some genetic testing done to confirm or deny this. You may also be able to guess if you substantially feel better using methylatied Bs verses non-methylated B vitamin supplements. Though the major benefit of this particular supplement is the intrinsic factor that supplies the transport of B12 into the cells. This is needed when you have enough damage to the lining of the stomach such that your body is not making enough intrinsic factor so your B12 never makes it from your stomach into your cells.
