New PCIe PCI LPC Complete Desktop Laptop Computer Motherboard Diagnostic Analyzer Post Power Repair Troubleshooting Test Pro Kit

I tried to find out why my X99 M/b did not post, and first used the normal cheaper POSTcards available on Amazon. It took me a week to realize that the X99 only has PCIexpress slots, and that the cheaper cards are not functional on desktop PCIexpress slots (they are for desktop PCI slots). (in case its not clear after this sentence, I am a newbie). To analyze error codes on a M/b that only has PCIexpress slots, you will need this type of POSTcard. It's a a bit more expensive, but has PCIexpress (and PCI) desktop and laptop cards, as well as a voltage meter for your PSU (and some more stuff). Moreover, it gives you the 2 digit BIOS error code, but also a 4 digit Quiguan code, which might help narrowing down where the problem lies. The seller, William, was very helpful, he has a couple of pdfs to download with instructions and codes, and he responded right away to questions I had regarding the error codes I got, and he also had a few suggestions how to move on from here. Overall very happy with the purchase and customer service.

It does what I need it to do. Great way of testing CPU and RAM in a board that won't post. Being able to test a questionable PSU saves a ton of money versus learning the hard way. I now test even brand new PSU's before building. I was able to confirm that a thermaltake psu that I used in a recent build was indeed faulty. I was also able to test all components that were in said system and confirm that only the motherboard had been fried. Using it after something goes wrong can save money too. I would have replaced the CPU and RAM along with the board had I not been able to test and confirm their functional status.The instructions aren't the best Chinese to English translation, but it's pretty straight forward. Most people who have the ability to figure out how to build or repair a system should be able to figure out how to use all parts in this kit in less than 15 minutes. Error codes are easy enough to look up and lights are self explanatory.

Parts seemed well made and as expected. The manual it ARRIVES with however is in broken English. The seller does send you a digital manual and easier-to-read guide though.

This diagnostic kit was really useful when working to resolve my boot loop issues. The supporting video was well done too -- that made a big difference to the usage.

Not for the faint of heart. The documentation list puzzling result codes with minimum descriptions but no detail help as to how to use it or any real diagnostics. They need to produce a more comprehensive manual with examples and possible diagnostic techniques.

Excellent tool for the workshop when diagnosing laptops and desktop boards. I'm trying it so far, so I'll update my review in a month or two about the pros and cons of this very useful tool. So far, I'm considering buying another one.
