Lightweight, comfortable, and allow you to hear surrounding sounds while listening to music.
Shokz Open Run bone-conducting headphones are lightweight, comfortable, and secure, allowing users to hear surrounding sounds while listening to music. The Open Run Pro model offers improved sound quality with enhanced bass and higher volume.I have several brands of ear buds all of which go into or cover my ears and headphones which cover and set on top of the ears. I was looking for something that did not go inside or cover my ears yet would give me a good sound and was a comfortable secure fit.In my search for headphones, I began with the Open Run model. These headphones are lightweight, comfortable to wear all day, and fit securely. Unlike my previous ear buds, they remain in place without constant adjustment, and unlike my over-the-ear headphones, they do not cover my ears. Their small size makes them easy to pack or carry during trips or errands. The bone-conducting sound design allows me to hear all surrounding sounds, such as traffic, TV, children, and people around me, while still listening to my music. This can be advantageous or disadvantageous depending on my preferences. While the Open Run model’s sound quality was acceptable, I desired more bass and higher sound volume if these were to become my preferred headphones. I was particularly impressed by the fit, quality, and other aspects of the Open Run model, so I returned it and ordered the Open Run Pro model. The Open Run Pro model offers improved sound quality with enhanced bass and higher sound volume. Like the Open Run model, it fits well and is comfortable to wear for extended periods.Strategies for Mitigating Surrounding Sounds:In previous iterations of the Open Run Shozk, earplugs were included as a default accessory. While this may seem counterintuitive to the principles of open hearing and bone conduction technology, I have discovered that in situations where external sounds are undesirable, using earplugs with the Shozk headphones can be highly effective in providing a degree of sound isolation.

Great for all-day wear; Bluetooth multipoint supported; excellent battery life
Quick summary:- Comfortable to wear all day.- Feasible to wear all day in all situations since it does not block your hearing and is waterproofed.- Has no problem staying in position in nearly all situations.- Battery lasts all day (I regularly end the day around ~80% battery left).- Bluetooth multipoint is supported. Check the Shokz website for a video showing how to enable it. You must hold the on and multifunction button at the same time to enable multipoint.- Use their sizing guide video to find the correct size before purchase. I bought the normal size, then had to buy the mini instead. If you need the mini but buy the normal size then it will push on the back of your ears uncomfortably.- Standard USB-C charging means one fewer charger. I usually charge it in the morning while starting my day.- Quick charging.- Multifunction button is a physical button, so it's hard to activate it by accident.- Sound is reasonable for listening to music and making calls. Microphone is reasonable. Look into how bone conduction sounds to get an idea of what to expect. I'm comfortable using these for music, games, and calls unless I'm wanting exquisite audio quality. My story:I purchased these because the idea of having a pair of headphones I could wear all day was appealing to me. I am the kind of person that prefers to never play videos etc. out loud, which usually results in me never seeing any content with sound. Wearing other earbuds or headphones all day isn't feasible because other headphones block out surrounding sounds and fall out/off easily. Unfortunately, I'm also the kind of person who is significantly motivated by music. What a bad combination! With these I'm able to put them on in the morning and only take them off at night. Bluetooth multipoint is a nice bonus, as it allows me to seamlessly switch between my phone and my computer.Generally, these sound as if a speaker in the room is playing whatever you're listening to. Just like a real speaker in the room, you can turn it up to drown out surrounding sound or turn it down so surrounding sound takes over. I can comfortably play music during a conversation and still hear the conversation. I can also comfortably play music while shopping or while driving and still be able to hear my surroundings i.e. it's no different from a speaker in the store or car playing music.I have used these for personal and work calls and they function well for that purpose. I have had no complaints about mic quality. With long hair, people often don't realize I'm even wearing these unless my hair is up. I'm able to wear these fine with both glasses and a mask. These usually comfortably rest slightly above the ear outside of my glasses. This position reduces the strain on my ears. All in all, if you need an all-day wear pair of headphones for general listening and calls, these are an excellent choice.

Amazing fit for smaller heads
I have to wear child size glasses because my head is so small, and my ears are so small that I have a hard time keeping any kind of earbud in my ear. But I also have a lot of piercings on my ears which made it difficult to wear over ear headphones. My husband suggested I try bone conduction headphones.I had ordered a cheaper pair ($20ish) to try before I bought these, just to make sure they were going to work for what I needed before I spent a ton of money. I liked the sound quality of the first pair, but they were way too big for my head, the speakers didn't sit flush against my face, so I went in search of a smaller pair and found these. These work so amazingly, and they're so comfortable I forget I even have them on. I wear them roughly 8 to 12 hours a day and the battery lasts a very long time. I don't really listen to music so I can't speak on that, but I have used it to watch movies and YouTube, listen to audiobooks and podcasts, etc and they have been great. Even while using a power sander, I put in ear plugs and these headphones and could still hear my audiobook over the sound of the sander.Obviously they're not as travel friendly as a pair of airpods or Galaxy buds, but I took them on a trip over the weekend and had no trouble. They are a little difficult to wear when laying down but I was able to sleep in the car while wearing them. Also I love the texture of the finish on them. They are so great that I really wish I had bought two pair when they were on sale for Black Friday, so I could have a pair for work, and a pair to listen to audiobooks when I go to bed. But I will say that after trying them, I would have paid full price for these and I may end up buying a second pair anyway. If you have a lot of trouble wearing other types of headphones, these just might be the solution.
