Hell for Leather, the sixth book in Julie Ann Walker's Black Knights Inc. series, stars Bryan 'Mac' McMillan and Delilah Fairchild, and when Delilah's uncle goes missing, the only person she can think to go to for help is Mac. She has been attracted to him for years, but he has never pursued her in return. When they begin to work together to find her uncle, however, everything changes for them and they have no choice but to explore their attraction. But can Mac let go of his distrust of women because of his past and allow himself to stay with Delilah?The Black Knights Inc, series is one of my absolute favorite series, and I'm always excited to read the new installment. These books are always full of danger and mystery and romance, and I love how they are all woven together to seamlessly. Hell for Leather was no different, unsurprisingly.Delilah Fairchild was an interesting character, to me. She's a curious mix of strong and determined, always ready and willing to take care of herself and kick ass while doing it, and yet she also has this vulnerable side that we get to see in this book. I liked that she allowed herself let down her guard around Mac, allowing him to help and support her while she was searching for her uncle.Mac was great, too, though at times I was so frustrated with him because he kept Delilah at a distance due to his distrust of her. I loved how protective he was throughout the book, though. He tried to fight his attraction to Delilah, but his true feelings were always apparent in his interactions with her. They had great chemistry, in my opinion.The suspense element in Hell for Leather was great, as it always is in this series. The villains were sufficiently scary and it was fun to read about the search for Delilah's uncle amid much danger.I loved reading about the other characters in the Black Knights Inc. group, from old characters from past books to new ones I hope to see more of in the future. I liked catching up with them, and they really seem like a fun group to be around. Ozzie will always be one of my favorite characters, with his funny quotes and references, and I loved that he was featured often in this book. I hope he has his own book soon!Hell for Leather was a FIVE STAR read, for sure, and I very much look forward to December, when the next book is released and we get to read Steady's story. Julie Ann Walker manages to make the baddest of the bad even badder! *grins* A group of individuals committed to serving, first as Seals, Marines, FBI, CIA, whatever their calling. But now they work for Black Knights a Black Ops organization that answers only to POTUS (yeah I had to think about it too.. so did Delilah).. camouflaged as a biker club these men and women kick ass and don't bother taking names!Delilah Fairchild is a walking pin up poster. Gorgeous is putting it mildly, but she is also tough and smart. Owning a bar that bikers claim as their own she has to be able to keep it all together. Of course on the side she's a forensic accountant. So gorgeous, smart AND tough.. so not fair. But life isn't perfect because she has had a thing for Bryan "Mac" McMillan from the first moment she met him. Too bad he is disinclined to return the affection. But no matter, her uncle is missing and Delilah needs the best. So she calls on Mac.Bryan "Mac" McMillan doesn't trust the beautiful vivacious type. Someone that "perfect" is never going to be happy with a man like him. Since he honestly believes that nothing will ever come of his intense desires for Delilah, he shuts her down. Every time. But when Delilah needs him, he's there with the entire Black Knight organization on his side.Mac has some serious issues that have to be dealt with. He is sure he knows what is best for Delilah and himself but put him in close contact with her and watch them sizzle!! And the rest of the team is sure to let him know just what they think of his stupidity.I Loved this book! Ms Walker once again does a stellar job and gives us action, drama, suspense, evildoers and yes steam!! But this was not a one dimensional book.. we connected with several of the past couples (one is even having a baby). And we get to see the dynamics of the Black Knights at their absolute best!Not only do we get to reconnect with the gang but we also get introduced to a fascinating female that is sure to drive yet another of the Knights insane.. and we get a hint of one more.. Those poor guys.. They have met their matches..The only problem with this series.. Ms Walker just doesn't write fast enough! The next book isn't coming out until December 2014. Excellent book loved it made me laugh and cry and was fabulously entertaining. Definitely full of action intrigue and emotion, loved the bikes and banter throughout this book. I recommend to everyone to get into this series one of the very best. Thanks

One of the first books I ordered when I got the new kindle app for my Surface tablet. Much easier to buy and download books than Kobo...I will never go back!!!!

Walker’s expressive & emotive writing brings this story to life in a huge way. Action and suspense kept me on my toes while the explosive chemistry between the characters ratcheted up the heat of the novel by several notches. The plot was lively & fun, while it also kept me guessing.I love Delilah! She’s the perfect heroine set beside the BKI Alphas. Mac’s emotions are so out in the open at times, they were quite unexpected. Together they create an emotionally poignant yet extremely suspenseful pair. Surrounded by the rest of the Black Knights, this cast kept me on my toes. I love how tight they are with one another. I also enjoy how real they are. These characters don’t mince words or actions. They are themselves at every turn.With every novel in the series I fall further and further in love with Walker’s larger than life characters. This was a uniquely enchanting tale that I’d definitely recommend to others.
