Great for function and price!
I am rating these in comparison to the Starrett Trammel set priced at $120. (I’m not being paid to do this.) Some pro drafters my see this review as blasphemy (haha), but this my honest truth. I ended up purchased both to compare! I’ll now be returning Starrett’s and keeping these. First off, there’s no question Starrett’s are more stunning and superior in detail… without question. However, Starrett’s would NOT fit any standers size drawing implants. This product DOES! It also fits a standard X-Acto blade handle, which now seems rather large in comparison to the ability of Starrett's. All parts for this product are made from metal and feel very sturdy. A great value at just over $20. In some reviews the clamps only go down as far as to secure a 3/4” rod, however when I received mine they went as far down as just past the 1/4” mark… you can see in my product review image. Additionally, Starrett’s version of anchor point rods taper down and to the side of the rod, which make them uncentered. This is so users can offset the anchor points by twisting the rods while in place. Personally I don’t want to do this, as I don’t want to fuss with offsets ever time I draw or cut a circle. I made a few circles with this product and found them to be very precise. I’m very happy with this product and highly recommend. My only complaint and suggestion is wipe these down with a dry rag or paper towel as soon as you take them out of the box! They are covered in grease! Probably to keep them from erosion. This may be against the manufacture’s recommendation, but if you want to keep your hands and workspace clean from grease marks/ stains… do it! Great item.

Good & Heavy Duty
Well made, sturdy trammel points. Knobs are just big enough that you can adjust them with a pair of light/medium gloves on. These are a very good value for the price.

Nice trammel set but has minimum thickness requirment for beam
I bought these to finally replace an old but trusty 5' stick with a pencil hole in one end and a a number of "custom nail pivot holes" drilled along its length over the years for whatever radius I needed. I used that stick for at least 10 years and it worked perfectly for dozens of curves, but I saw these on Amazon and a similar set at Rockler and figured I might as well bring my circle-marking technology up to the modern era.As others have noted, these are fairly nicely made. I had no casting marks or other low-cost manufacturing issued to resolve and the threaded portion works smoothly, so I was pretty happy with the purchase. That is until I tried using them and grabbed a 1/2" square length I planned to use as my beam only to find out the trammels will not screw down on anything less than 5/8". They will accept a beam just under 2-3/4" thick, but I am more likely to want to use something closer to 1/2" than 2-3/4". In any case, because I did not want to rip a perfectly good board to make another beam, I ended up using my old "stick". Sooner or later I'll rip a 3/4" or 1" beam, or several, but until I have a good reason to do so, or happen to only need a shorter radius that some cut off lying around my shop will work for, I have to leave these in a drawer unused.I do recommend these for value and quality, but be aware of the beam thickness requirement.
