EX ELECTRONIX EXPRESS Portable Digital PH Level Meter and Liquid Temperature Tester PH-009

I really like it, & not only that but it actually came with some packets of pH buffer powder to be dissolved in solution with 250mL of deionized water. One of the packets is pH 4.0 @ 25° C, & the other packet is pH 6.86 @ 25° C. So essentially it comes with the materials needed to create your own calibration fluid, using two-point calibration. I find this quite nice because the other reviewers said you'd have to separately buy calibration fluid, but in fact all you need to buy is 500mL of deionized water (which you can find at any major grocery store chain).The one negative thing I'd say about it is this; the shipping took FOREVER; I realize it shipped from Shenzen, China, but I've ordered things from China in the past which only took a week to arrive, even with free shipping. Also, the "China Post" tracking number I was given by the seller was not a valid China Post tracking number. But in any case, the item did arrive by the expected delivery date, I just thought it took a really long time (like almost a month from the date of purchase). But it did arrive, it does work, & it did come with pH buffer/calibration powder.

After receiving this item I proceeded to calibrate the meter as instructed but was un able to do so. The meter has been damaged in shipping. The packaging was insufficient in my opinion to provide adequate protection. Remember this an electronic device which requires special packaging.I spoke with HDE the seller and they agreed to ship another ASAP and to ensure proper packaging at no coat to me. The second item came as promised with adequate packaging and functioned normally. This is a good product at a fair price and the company stood by me without exception or question.Salem, Oregon

Order this item from HDE thru amazon. Within 4 days it arrived in a nice package via USPS. Product came as described by the seller. I use this just to test different things at home like vinegar, orange juice, tap water, etc... To see if it's acidic or alkaline..it seems to work but I don't know how accurate the device is because I don't have a reference solution to verify it's measurement. Other than that, it's telling me the stuff I'm measuring is either acid or alkaline...thanks HDE for fast delivery..I will buy again from them and will recommend highly!

Does a great job at testing the ph in my hot tub. For me its nice to no the exact ph instead of using the test strips that I've been using. Used itseveral times and have never needed to re-calibrate. From me its highly recommended.

This products is simple and easy to use. I use mine to test my water before I drink it to make sure it has at least a PH of 9. Have to make sure my Ionizer is working properly! The only thing I don't like is the opening where the water goes for the PH to be measured. I worry that I can't cover it too quickly because water residue is in it, so I leave the cover off for a while to make sure it air dries. Other than that I love it the digital screen is easy to read!

Cannot calibrate. If I calibrate it to the pH 4 buffer, it reads 5.9 in the pH 6.86 buffer. If I recalibrate it to the 6.86 buffer, it reads 4.9 in the pH 4 buffer. Essentially it's 0.9 pH units off no matter how I try to calibrate. It's useless.

Worked well in the beginning but loses a little accuracy with each use.I followed instructions to the letter; I stored it in the recommended solution, rinsed it it the recommended distilled water. I used the recommended calibrating and buffering solutions and stored it in solution as recommended. The meter STILL failed. I cannot get it to calibrate, in fact I can't get the meter below 8.8 using the trimming screw, while in a 7.1 solution (over an hour), also 'as recommended'.I contacted this company many many weeks ago, requesting a warranty repair and/or replacement; Magnum_Media, NEVER responded to my questions, complaints or request for Warranty repair or replacement under their 1 Year Warranty policy.Many other sellers handle this device; I recommend the one that is fulfilled by Amazon (I'm not sure if I am allowed to name one seller in a complaint against another) but I CAN tell you, you'll never encounter this problem if your order is fulfilled by Amazon. I enrolled in Prime Membership for the sole purpose of finding merchandise I am interested in purchasing but don't want the aggravation caused by irresponsible sellers such as MAGNUM_MEDIA.

Changed review after using. I calibrated the meter and even after that, the meter is still not accurate. Had to use ph drops for a good reading.
