Tricky to attach
It's such a simple need: shoelaces that lose their own plastic or metal "aglet" need to be fixed. While most folks, such as myself, have never even heard of the word "aglet," we all have the same need to fix this problem. These metal aglets are spectacular, even if they are hard to affix to laces. I chalk it up to my own lack of hand motor skills, but maybe this really is a tricky endeavor...? Who knows? All I know is that these fixed/saved several laces and they were dirt cheap to boot.

Look good. Soft metal though.
These were very easy to use. The metal is pretty soft so I'm not sure how long they'll last. You have to take care not to squeeze too much with attaching them, otherwise they just squish down flat. I have lots of left overs, so I can always replenish with a new set if needed.

A few nitpicks
I wish they were slightly rounded out of the box, but if you want them to be cylindrical you have to crimp them that way yourself. You can do so reasonably well with some needle nose pliers, and it took little to figure out how...also the color doesn't seem to scratch off much if any from crimping them. Also wasn't a fan of the little holes on them. I'm certainly nitpicking and I don't even notice these little issues on a day to day basis, but these don't feel like the solid ones you'd get stock on a pair of laces, they feel more flimsy to me.

works but not pretty
One side is rounded and opposite open end is square. As such, this is impossible to crimp with round shape. I used round cutters of wire stripper to install these on round shoe laces about 1/8" thick. Per one review, I used superglue gel. Glue will leak out the holes so be prepared to get some glue on the fingers. Without some kind of special tool, this is about the best option for repairing the usual plastic aglets these days.

It Works! Easy to use!
Worked fine so far. You just use pliers or a long nose, fold the side with the notch/slot/gap so the end of the lace is not moving. Then fold the other side kinda like putting a puzzle together. Run a finger along the closure to make sure neither sides are sticking out.

You need a set of needle nose pliers to do a good job. Longer than most factory shoe aglets.
Bring your needle nose pliers and a pair of reading glasses. Properly attached, however, these do the job and look nice.Longer than any aglets I've ever bought on laces for shoes or sneakers, they still thread through the small eyelets.

WHAT ARE AGLETS?!
For some reason the boots I bout came with strings that ran all the way up to my thighs so they had to be cut BUT I didn't know the name of those things at the tips of the shoestrings! Thanks to Google I found out and thanks to Amazon they had some available! I chose the metal ones over the plastic because they seemed easier to work with and they were. These were a good purchase!

I didn't like this product
I didn't like this product. Too big and too heavy. When you walk, you can hear the anglets hitting each other and you can feel them hitting your feet hard. Not the most intuitive application either.
