Overland Long Wool Sheepskin Baby Rug

My mother bought these for my 2 grandsons close to 30 years ago.Both of these kids dragged these "SOFTIES" around until they were only tiny pieces from many washings.Both boys just had babies of their own so for Christmas each baby got a new "SOFTIE".Immediately out of the box the oldest little girl (just turned one at Christmas) latched onto hers ... NOT TO BE TAKEN AWAY.The little boy was only 1 month but I expect he will love his too.I can not imagine why others have posted bad reviews. These are genuine shearling lamb ... mine were natural color. There was a processed leather smell kind of like leather in a new car. I simply took them out of the packing and aired them out for a day before wrapping them up for under the tree.

These natural fleece skins have been part of all 4 of our grandchildren start in life and they in fact keep them around much longer. Cambridge University in England did a study a while back deciding babies adjust better when resting on a fleece. They often are seen in prams .... On strollers etc. They wash and dry . Can be put in a car seat.... Cutting openings for straps. Hopefully the kids don't take them to college !

I received this yesterday. It was somekind of synthetic fiber glued to a material that was imitating the hide. It had a horrid smell. It was patchy and not soft, truely an inferior product. I am returning it today as the product was not as described. I wish I could give it zero stars. They did ship in a timely manner.

The color is bright yellow. The "Fur" is rough and it smells. I will not put my baby on this. I'm not keeping this hideous thing.
