Does it support an Economy 10 meter/tarrif?
I bought this, the unit is paired and the sensor is stuck to the red led light on the meter but it is not showing anything on the display unit.
Can someone advise of the size of the led transmitter? Not sure it’ll fit in the cupboard the meter is in!
can you export all the historical results to a report for analysis?

Love this thing.

So after being hit with a direct debit of ÂŁ150 p/m from my electric company i decided it was time to do some investigation into why Eon think i'm powering a collapsed sun in my medium sized 2 bedroom flat. I spent an entire weekend taking regular readings, seeing exactly what time Eco 7 came up, counting sensor beeps to gauge the usage then i found this thing.Firstly i found it a little confusing to decide which one to get, as the description says get the clamp one if you have an old style meter OR a single phase meter, and get the sensor one if you have a flashing LED. I was confused because i had a flashing LED but it also said it was single phase! I took the risk anyway and the sensor product worked great.Installation was super easy, even with my meter hanging over a 10ft drop. The reader automatically detected the sensor and no pairing was required. Best way to test it: Stick the kettle on. I find the meter takes between 1.5 and 2.5 seconds to detect changes in electric; i am guessing this is based on the degree to which your usage changes as it detects LED flashes. For those that do not know; the flashing LED on your meter denotes how much you are using, rapid flashing means you are using a lot and slow flashing not so much. For me, water boiler was flashing every 0.7 seconds, average usage every 7 seconds and "house idling" mode IE no lights on just basic appliances every 13 seconds. I mention this because if you put the kettle on, the meter is going to blink like mad meaning its a lot easier for the sensor to quickly pick up that your suddenly using large quantities of electric. If you turn a light off, i notice the difference roughly between 7-15 seconds, because the difference in blinking is less severe. I hope this makes sense. The meter has a nice bright colourful screen, plenty of room on the cord, a USB plug that goes into an adapter (so you can plug it into like a battery pack etc if you want it to be mobile rather than fixed). It stands on its own and gives plenty of information in great detail. It works well for dual tariff meters like Eco 7/10 and display relatively accurate costs. As others have mentioned the thermometer isn't particularly accurate but i wouldn't rate a car on how nice it is to sleep in.I get flashes between 1-2 bars of signal. The meter is about 20ft as the crow flies to the sensor, which is just outside the front door. This is through a brick wall and directly behind my fuse box so that could be the reason for the loss in signal quality. Something to bear in mind; with 1-2 bars i cant says i notice any issues. This meter taught me that my Eco 7 tariff only runs between 12-and 6:30 am, starting up again at 8:30 til 9am for the last 30 minutes. That standard lightbulbs/lamps use more energy than you'd think, that im never showering again, that good fridge/freezers don't use as much as you'd think and that tumble dryers are solely responsible for global warming. Its super addictive and the nerd in me would say "it makes energy saving FUN!". Recommend this product, the savings you can make, faults you can find and information you can gather will save you a fortune compared to the (in my opinion) low cost high value of the product its-self.Its a yes from me.

Simple but very useful gadget

I love this little gadget - if you have a pulsating light on your electricy meter, get the version that can use that - you attach a small sensor over the light (with sticky Velcro supplied) and tell the meter what each flash of the LED denotes. Once you have done this, the display will provide a very accurate reading for your electricity consumption. The transmitter is wireless (uses batteries) so can be easily installed wherever your meter is.The digital display requires mains power (I have mine on a shelf in the kitchen). It has a bright, clear display (you can have this permanently illuminated or turn off the back light during certain times). The device can display various info alongside the real time power usage such as daily cost, weekly cost, monthly cost, est CO2 usage etc. You can also set a monthly budget and it will show with a simple plus or minus colored graph how you are doing in real time versus that projected budget. You can also add in two tariffs, for instance if you have something like Econony 7.If you put this meter in a prominent place where you will regularly look at it, you may soon become obsessed with what is consuming power in your house and how much it costs... a quick cup of tea now makes you wince as you see the cost shoot up. Obviously there are certain things you just have to do (like have a cup of tea!) but at least you can now start to have an awareness of what your electricity bill is made up of and where you may want to look for improvements as products evolve. If you've already got a smart meter from your electricity provider this probably isn't worth it, but I've been waiting for my provider to fit one for about 2 years so I thought this was worth it until that does (or does not) happen.

Had to have a part immediately replaced - but appears good

I foolishly ignored some of the negative reviews here saying it doesn't work.Mine just didn't work right out of the box.I followed the instructions to find that the transmitter wasn't sending anything. Batteries all working. Wouldn't 'pair' or send anything to the receiver. After following instructions on the Geo website, I spent 2 hours trying to reset, re-pair, get lights to work, factory reset with no solution.I contacted Geo's Facebook messenger account only for them to tell me exactly the same procedures that didn't work at all. They then told me to send it back to Amazon!Devices like this shouldn't be this flakey. Not right out of the box. Unfortunately there doesn't seem to be much else on the market to do the job which is extremely disappointing.EDIT: a different GEO rep got in touch with me before I returned this. They suggested replacing the transmitter. It was with me the next day, courier delivery. (Why didn't the first rep offer this?)The unit immediately paired with the receiver and I can now report the device is fully working. It appears to be the only device on the market that's easy to read and works really well. I am happy with how it's working. Clearly is picking up the LED flashes and now allows me to see what's using high amounts of electricity and what isn't.EDIT: I've been using it for a month and a half. It's great and very accurate. The only thing you can't do is state on the device when your billing period starts. Mine is in the middle of the month, but this always restarts at the beginning of the month. All i can suggest is that you reset the start of the month to be your billing day.So I've bumped this up to four stars.
