KIARA SKY14 Piece Acrylic Nail Starter Kit (Includes EMA Monomer, Top Coat, Primer)

I bought this kit because I was so sick of paying basically this same price (sometimes more) for a full set. It took some practice and a lot of YouTube tutorials because I had zero experience before this, but this kit has already paid for itself at least twice over in the amount of money it’s saved me! The acrylic itself is super easy to work with for a beginner, I’m only now reaching the end of the pink acrylic about 3 months later so it lasts a very long time as well. I will say, as a lot of these other reviews are saying, mine did come with all glue completely dry so make sure to get your own nail glue in case!

I think the concept is good if you’re a license tech. But if you’re a beginner such as myself, then maybe not. For starters, I don’t understand how the price went from $99 to $124…Amazon why? Secondly, the brand is good, but pricey. The brand should go back to the drawing board with the monomer top for the bottle! If you’re pouring, a lot of productIs being wasted. Third, the acrylic is a good formula. If you use too much on the nail bed, then it’s correctable and very forgivable! But if you use too little, when filing, tiny holes are created on the nail bed. The acrylic brush bristles, I believe are too large to do any work on. I learned very quickly when doing this….where ever you lay, it will stay! You have to do it fast because the acrylic dries fast! Don’t be afraid to add extra monomer to spread it evenly! Also, the tips are horrible! I have natural long healthy nails but wanted tips for a bit more stability….nope, this wasn’t an option because of the sizing. Before I did any of this I went to the brands Youtube channel to look at tutorial videos. The videos are straight forward, but when doing this of course is harder. So this is a skill that really takes practice over time. I added a picture for an example. So if your nails are naturally long like this, the tips may not serve a purpose. I just used the primer first, then use the acrylic. Lastly, I found out the primer does NOT dry! I had to the actual site and read the directions on this!

I really.like the kiara sky system! This is my first time doing acrylic on a real hand! Needs more shaping, BUT the application was easy and had me feeling like a pro! I'm confident I'm going to get better and better and plan om sticking with the kiara sky system!

This is a great starter kit for an acrylic novice. It’s very beginner friendly except for the fact that it does not come with a dappen dish which is a very much needed item when starting with acrylics. I gave this kit a 4 only because I wasn’t able use the glue. When opening the first glue, I was able to use it to apply my tips to only one hand and then it wouldn’t work after that. I opened the second glue in the kit and it was completely immobile in the container. I don’t know how long that kit was sitting, but something definitely affected the glue. Other than the glue issue, I was pleased with the kit. The brush is so easy to work with and super cute as well. The monomer polymer combination is like butter.

I bought this as my first diy acrylic set and I love it! It’s a beautiful kit with just about all the essentials. You’ll need a dapper dish, an e-file and a lot of patience. My first set just started to grow out 3 weeks in and no lifting! Love Kiara Sky!Arrived quickly. Packing could had been better inside to prevent it from shifting in the box but it did not come damaged

Thought the kit was pricy, the monomer and acrylic became watery every time I'd put it on my nails which means that even as little of that liquid i use, the chemical mixture still becomes really watery then I'm not able to shape it right coz it dries fast. I went to the salon to get the ones I did redone and the lady said they look terrible and not good quality. The videos on YouTube are really good but I found it hard to replicate the experience.. if only I could get a refund

The acrylic is pretty good and doesn’t bubble. The files could be better- I’ve had sharper ones that file faster. The monomer has a very strong smell so you’ll have to wear a mask. But overall, good results
